Wedgwood Country Club
About
Wedgewood Country Club in Turnersville is one of the most popular public golf courses in the Tri-State area. It offers an upscale atmosphere with a traditional layout that pays homage to Philadelphia's most prestigious and renowned private courses. The course is like playing two in one with a front nine that is spacious and open while the back nine is much tighter and more heavily tree lined. The entire Wedgewood layout sprawls across gentle undulating terrain, providing subtle breaks throughout that will test your skills. There are two holes that are particularly memorable, the 13th, one of the toughest par 4s in the area, and the 17th, a tough par 5. The 13th is a lengthy par 4 that requires a second shot over water with a long club to a difficult target. Wedgewood Country Club's penultimate hole demands accuracy with an uphill drive through a chute.

Challenging course.
I enjoyed the course, but only at the golf now price i received.
Needs some work
Fairways are in poor condition, comparable to a cow pasture, no water on the course, just a bunch of empty water coolers. Course is usually pretty nice in the early months but looks bad by late July. I like the layout but the cost is too much. A course like this should be in the $30 -$35 range.
Course needs additional maintainance
Glad I booked on a hot deal and used a coupon. Not a good value at full price based on course condition.
nice golf course
decent golf course. I like this golf course. I like back nine more than front nine.
Never had grounds keepers ride toward my tee box mowing or pull-up next to me and start weed whacking
But, it happened here! At one point I asked one of the ground keepers if I could borrow his ear muffs so that I could hit my tee shot....He was totally oblivious. I think he thought he was mowing the lawn at the local high school while school was out. The course was not in good shape, they completely overbook, and it was a terrible value for the money at $48. I would never go back or recommend.
Nice course layout
The course has a challenging layout especially on the back nine.
The one problem with the course is the greens. They are very thin and starting to show bare spots which is hard to understand given all of the rain they have been getting lately. All of the other courses that I have played in the area lately have greens in much better shape. They also have a multitude of unrepaired ball marks. This is obviously due to the lack of etiquette shown by the golfers but should be repaired more often by course management. Fast greens are great but theses appear to be overcut.
Layout better than Staff
Have been playing this course off and on for a decade and staff is almost always an issue, from the $5 key deposit, to double booking times. However, it is a really nice layout for the location in south Jersey. It reminds you of a mid level Carolina tree lined course. There are some tough holes and it is a good challenge. Conditions have fluctuated from week to week here at times. One constant is greens are generally in good shape, and the 17th fairway is always in bad shape. Not worth going out of your way to play, but definitely worth it at the right price if you're in the area.
Nice course, well maintained
Very nice course, well maintained and good value through Golf Now. Some challenging holes and some fairly standard...overall had a great time.
Decent course for the money
I enjoyed the round but felt rushed from the moment we arrived 40 minutes prior to our tee time to go off right away. Lack of driving range hurts the experience.
Bad shape
Fairways and sand traps were in terrible shape. Greens were decent. The rough was unkept and reminded me of somebody's lawn. Extremely difficult to get good club on the ball because of the unkept rough. Overall the course is over priced for the conditions it is in.
Poor condition. Even fairways were hard pan
Overpriced for condition of golf course. Fairways were hard pan basically
This course needs maintenance before the season begins
Only one tee box per hole, poorly maintained tee box area, poorly maintained area around green. Bunkers were not raked, and course was poorly labeled.
Spring prices, winter tees.
Wait til spring when everything is in better shape. I paid for a hot deal but my buddy paid full price. With the conditions and winter tees (basically teeing from short rough/dirt) the fee should be the hot deal price.
Course is not in good shape
Every hole has a temp tee box stuck out in the rough. The fairways are a mess as well as many of the greens. The cart paths are in terrible shape, the traps have more dirt than sand in them and the drainage on the course is poor (lots of very soggy fairways and greens). This course could use a serious makeover to make it playable again. The $28 I paid to play here was over-priced.
nice shape for december!!
played mid-december and enjoyed the course, have not played here in MANY years, as course is normally a bit pricey for me, so thank you, golfnow for xlnt. rate!! my golf buddy lives in trenton, so we normally play rancocas or ramblewood. wedgwood clearly superior to both...
Wedgwood is a very difficult and interesting daily-fee course.
The real teeth of this course is the greens. They were quick and in good condition. I felt like I hit the ball well but did not score very well. As you can expect for November there were a lot of leaves, which made it more difficult and caused slower play as we spent time searching for balls - especially on the back nine.
very fine course.. some conditioning issues
Played here twice this year.. Last time in August,, the tees and fairways were in very poor condition with tons of bare spots and diseased areas.. What a shame for a super layout as this one is. This course you'll remember for 2 holes... The 13th hole, a long par 4, with the 2nd shot over water with a long club to a very difficult target is one of the toughest par 4's in our area. The 17th is a gem of a par 5.. You'll drive it uphill through a chute, lay up with the 2nd, and hit a full 9 or wedge up a huge hill where you have to rely on precise judgement to get it anywhere close.. Hopefully, the condition will get better soon..
Average Course
The regular pricing for this course is way too high, the GolfNow prices are the only ones I pay to play this course. The pace of play is ok and never seen any ranger on the course while we were out on the course. The fairways were in decent shape, some bare spots. The tee boxes were not in good shape at all this time while we were there. The greens are always in good shape and they were very quick. Overall the course was in average condition for this time of year. I would recommend this course to people, but only if you get a discounted rate off of GolfNow as I would not pay the normal rates.
1st timer
This was the first time I've played the course. I got a great deal on Golfnow for only $24 for an afternoon round, and it was well worth it. Not sure if i would have enjoyed paying the $60-70 average cost without the deal. Greens were in great condition, even though they were aerated within the past few weeks. Course and tee boxes needed a little help. Overall really happy with "the deal" of only $24 !!!
