Marysville Golf Club
About
Marysville Golf Club has been one of the most popular public golfing options in the area since it opened as a nine-hole course in 1932. A second nine was added in the 70s, completing the layout as it exists today. Save for a few mild undulations the course is mostly flat, providing an enjoyable walk. The fast bentgrass greens provide a good opportunity to use your short game skills. There are a few small ponds that come into play as well as a meandering stream. While there isn't a plentiful amount of bunkers there are enough strategically placed throughout to provide a fair challenge. Marysville Golf Club is not overly difficult but the versatile layout has a playability that will appeal to players of all skill levels.

Great value.
Friendly staff and a fun course to play. Pace of play was a little slow but had a great day of golf regardless.
Sand traps and bratwurst
If they would even put the very minimum effort in making the traps playable I would faint . Have been playing here for 10 years and I love the layout and the greens are always decent, but some of us can play fairly well out of sand and like that challenge but they are always unplayable. Don’t use the covid excuse because other course at least run a tractor screen thru the traps occasionally.
As for bratwurst, they have no hot food available ( I don’t call microwaving a hot dog hot food) . They are so understaffed it’s kind of pitiful.
Cheapest course for value
Marysville has a great challenging course that provides you with very well maintained conditions. Only complaint would be that greens are slow. This may work out great until you head to a different course!
Great day with a neighbor!
Enjoyed playing with my new neighbor for the 1st time. His game was almost overpowering for Marysville GC. I didn’t realize his game was as strong as it is. The layout is challenging enough to keep even a long baller into more of a placement player. The course is in great shape. Although the greens were a little long and the traps are pretty much unplayable... using a golfnow promo code made the green fees very reasonable.... enjoyed the day and the company immensely.....
Good value
Nice course. Needs some TLC in the bunkers but overall nice course for the money. Will play again
Good budget golf course
For the price, the course isn’t horrible. But it is by far the most run down golf course I have ever played at. The first thing you get when you drive in is a beaten down parking lot off the side of the road, and I had myself scratching my head whether or not I was at a golf course at all. Staff was friendly and the course design was fine, except for the 10th tee (tees were directing toward the 18th green). Greens are extremely slow and bumpy. Cart paths are beaten down and are nonexistent between certain holes. But the worst part was the pace of play. I was playing with three of my buds, and we were going fairly slowly. But the group ahead was so incredibly slow that our match ended up being 5 hours instead of the average 4 hours and 15 minutes. It was extremely annoying to our entire group, and the people behind us replayed the 13th hole 3 times and still got stuck right behind us. But for the price, pretty good.
Great Shape
The course was in great shape and very challenging. The staff is very friendly.
Best course for the price you’ll find around
Nice course sort of in the middle of nowhere, only cons are divots could use some filling and a couples bunkers need maintenance but other than that no problems! Grass is great and not very packed, also there are very few houses around if you normally don’t hit it on line lol
Over booked
Played directly following a high school match. They should have scheduled more time in between. We were prepared to play 18 holes but quit after 9 holes after waiting 3.5 hours to play only 9 holes. Second time I have played here this year, both times it appears that they are trying to pack too many golfers together. Not fun playing a packed course and taking about 5.5 to 6 hours to play
Course has much more potential
If the sand traps were maintained I would give this course 4+. Greens were excellent. Fairways were very well maintained. Slow play. 4 1/2 hours. Group golfer rate was the same as booking the course.
Needs help
Out in the middle of nowhere.... the course is in disrepair. The greens are depressingly slow and small. The tee boxes have been abused and are full of holes and weeds. The cart would squeal at times disrupting others and there was a very large hole in the seat. The cart paths were mostly gravel and very dangerous... The white tees are only 6000 yards making it a very short course. Some regulars said there are only 3 people currently working at the course, so the neglect makes sense. The place was also packed... on a Thursday ! The pros: the fairways and greens were green and had decent grass. Still, Darby Creek is right around the corner and in much better shape.
