Timberview Golf Club

About
Timberview Golf Club rolls across a diverse landscape that is ideal for a challenging round. The rolling terrain is covered with mature trees, ponds, and creeks. There is a housing development surrounding the golf course, but the houses do not intrude into the game. The layout features seven holes that were carefully carved from the dense forests and fourteen holes with water hazards coming into play. The course has a good balance of player-friendly holes and more challenging holes. The wide fairways are well manicured and the undulating greens are medium in size. In addition to the water and trees, sand fiercely guards the greens on half of the holes. The layout is still gentle enough to appeal to beginners. Timberview also offers two practice putting greens.

Supposedly they were seeding the Tee Boxes so they moved all of the boxes forward in some cases 30 or40 yards. There is practically no grass in the fairways, it was like playing in a parking lot.
The greens were in good shape, though. But in essense the course is basically unplayable.
Never coming back
Awful course. Not maintained at all. Will not be coming back. Should be free to play at a course in this condition
It was alright
It was okay pace of play was bad golfers behind us were hitting into us when we had a foursome in front that was being slow greens were good fairways sucked
Worth The Price
I played this course for the first time after finding a Hot Deal for $13.99 for 18 with a Cart. After a tee time credit it was only $4. Fairways and Tee boxes were in rough shape. The ground was super hard (felt like clay). The greens and the surrounding 15 yards before the greens were in good condition. Greens were spongy and slow but had few bad patches. I was paired with a couple older guys and they offered to let me play ahead. Finished 18 in 2.5 hrs. Had no issue with pace of play. Worth the price but definitely not a well maintained course. I’m sure it plays better after a rainy season.
Budget Style Course
Not the greatest but for $25 for nine and a cart, not bad. No real clubhouse appeal with minimal food/drinks. Course was in rough shape. Not just water but fairways bare and fringe around green bare.
Good place to control
It was nice roinding and got the nice score. Please try ot.
The Good & The Bad
Timberview isn’t going to wow you with super green fairways, fast rolling greens or nicely cut tee boxes BUT it can still present you with the most bang for your buck in the Greater Columbus area.
Columbus is home to many beautiful public/private golf courses but unfortunately 99% of them are just extremely overpriced. (Look at Golf Club of Dublin for example… Gorgeous course but it’s just not worth playing for $100 plus dollars on the weekend)
I say this because as a frequent solo golfer, many courses are doing away with going out at all as a solo since they are trying to pack as many people on the course as possible to make their money. I’m happy to say Timberview is not one of those courses!
I love coming here knowing I will always be allowed to go out as a solo golfer and can really focus on what I want to practice that day. Having a rough couple of rounds with the driver? Come out to Timberview, go out play as a solo, play two balls (keep up your pace of play still!) and really practice on your driver, or whatever clubs are giving you trouble. I’ve always got more out of practicing reps on the course compared to on the range. This course presents you with a great opportunity to do just that.
The layout is actually pretty challenging for it being a shorter course. Lots of doglegs which make you really commit to your shots and it also has an island par 3 which is pretty cool. The front 9 plays easier than the back 9 in my opinion. Greens are in much better shape than they were in 2023/2024 but still run extremely slow. Hit it!
Take advantage of the GolfNow Hot Deals. I had a $10 off coupon to add towards a Hot Deal and I ended up playing Timberview this round for $4.99 (the hot deal was $15). I don’t care if you’re playing on dirt…. $5.99 for a cart and 18 holes of golf is a steal!
If you use Timberview as a course to work on your game you’ll leave a happy camper for the money you spend. If you use Timberview as a course to take your friends on a golf trip you may be in the doghouse.
The course is not in good shape. Just a little love to the tee boxes would be outstanding and maybe some gravel for the cart path.
Its okay
For the money it's fine. Just wish there were tee markers on the tees and wish I didn't have to dodge sprinklers trying to putt and tee off..
Great value
The course has improved over last year and they are working hard to improve the facility.
Greens very good. Tees good. Great value. I will play again this season and look forward to next year at this course
US Open rough
The course has potential.
Unfortunately the greens are so/so and the rough is ridiculous.
Plan on losing a few balls in the rough, it's deep.
It is a nice track.
Mediocre
The course was not in great shape but it was okay for the price. However, a group of 6 was apparently permitted to go out ahead of us. It took our group of two over 3 hours to play the front nine. If this is something that is permitted, we will be in no hurry to ever return.
