Marysville Golf Club
About
Marysville Golf Club has been one of the most popular public golfing options in the area since it opened as a nine-hole course in 1932. A second nine was added in the 70s, completing the layout as it exists today. Save for a few mild undulations the course is mostly flat, providing an enjoyable walk. The fast bentgrass greens provide a good opportunity to use your short game skills. There are a few small ponds that come into play as well as a meandering stream. While there isn't a plentiful amount of bunkers there are enough strategically placed throughout to provide a fair challenge. Marysville Golf Club is not overly difficult but the versatile layout has a playability that will appeal to players of all skill levels.

You Get Your Money's Worth
I used a Hot Deal on the website and paid $25 total. For that price, this course is a bargain. The front nine is the original nine and has tree-lined fairways and challenging, severely-sloped greens (back to front). The fairways and greens were in very good shape. The back nine is the newer nine and has fewer trees but more OB. It is still a challenge with forced carries on several holes, two long par 3s, hard doglegs, and some two-tiered greens. I played on a cold, windy weekday so there were not many other players.
Nice course for the money.
Inexpensive and pace was good. Improvements and some construction in progress. Dirt and gravel cart pats but it’s not an issue for me. Men’s bathroom is not so hot!
Stole one from November today
Played with a friend and his son. Weather was perfect with a little bit of wind thrown in. Most of the traps were unplayable which is par for most of central Ohio public courses this time of year. But, all else was perfect; tees, fairways and greens were in excellent shape. Had a 5 some in front of our 3 some. They were playing the forward tees and really kept a very good pace... Marysville offers some unique challenge holes and some very fair challenges as well. The par 3’s can be the toughest I have ever played. 3 out of 4 par 3’s are uphill. Cant go wrong with this course.
7 holes because it got dark
Good course. Lots of fun. However could only play 7 holes because it got dark
Avoid!
Online it appeared that Tee Times were 15 minutes apart. We arrive and are told “not all tee times are posted online.” We were stacked and dragged through the round with sooooo much crowded slow play. No Marshall and way too crowded. We will not be back.
Golf
Course is s great layout and fun to play and in good shape facility and staff not so much
Is the course closing?
Got the feeling this property is either closing, or being sold. Fairways and greens were average condition, rough is mostly crabgrass. Does not appear to have working irrigation system and tees were as hard as the gravel "off road" cart paths. Back nine was in a bit better condition. Some financial decisions should be made before this course fades away. As I say this, I would come back because it has such potential.
Great value.
Friendly staff and a fun course to play. Pace of play was a little slow but had a great day of golf regardless.
Sand traps and bratwurst
If they would even put the very minimum effort in making the traps playable I would faint . Have been playing here for 10 years and I love the layout and the greens are always decent, but some of us can play fairly well out of sand and like that challenge but they are always unplayable. Don’t use the covid excuse because other course at least run a tractor screen thru the traps occasionally.
As for bratwurst, they have no hot food available ( I don’t call microwaving a hot dog hot food) . They are so understaffed it’s kind of pitiful.
Cheapest course for value
Marysville has a great challenging course that provides you with very well maintained conditions. Only complaint would be that greens are slow. This may work out great until you head to a different course!
