good layout
Blue tees 6300 White 5950 or so, the distance did not matter as much as the angles to the fairways and doglegs from the blue tees. keep that in mind if you are unsure which distance to play. Greens were beat up a bit but layout is great with many challenging and different type holes
Awesome Course, Slow Pace of Play
This was my first time to this course and wow was it ever a treat. The dramatic elevation changes, strategically placed bunkers and risk/reward shots make this course a welcome challenge. There is plenty of length for the long hitters off the back tees, so I would say this course is anything but tight.
Now the downside that has to be mentioned is the pace of play. Like most people, I’m no fan of most starters or roving rangers, but this course absolutely needs both.
Groups teeing off 20min early, 3 solos going off one after the other and not being paired together and a 2some playing 9 going off on the back leading to congestion are just a few things I witnessed. This caused my round to take 4hr50min on a Friday afternoon.
Overall I would say the course is an amazing track with spectacular views, just get a little structure to keep pace of play organized.
Front 9 was great back not!!
We had a great front 9. No one in front of us and we let a twosome go ahead of us then no one else directly behind us. We made the turn and there was one guy in front of us. He waited until the group in front of him were on the green to tee off. Then he hit 2 balls on every hole. We sat right behind him as he hit 2 balls a leisurely took off to find his two balls. It became so slow we quit after the 17th hole. We did report this to the clubhouse when we were on hole 13 and asked them if they let someone go out ahead of us and they were not helpful at all. Too bad they let someone start on hole 10 when people were making the turn.
Poor management
Rude manager, put me a single player! behind a old
Bunch of league men. They thought maybe they were in a big tournament. Like playing for the green jacket. Or something like that.. they took forever to get to the green. But they want to make sure they putting perfect. Give me a break..terrible
6 hour round
Love the scenery. Nice layout. This course has plenty of challenges. But when I played there was a buildup of 8 carts per hole and it took 6-1/2 hours to get through 18.
Early spring day
Got out on the course after a heavy rain storm the night before, cart path only but good to get out.
Great Place
Good conditions for this time of year, love the scenery and course layout of this special golf course! Greens are fast & true, this is a good challenging golf course for amateur players.
