Overgrown and messy
The entire course excluding greens was the same length the mere were trees overhanging everything the teeboxes haven’t been maintained in a long time there we big holes in the fairways many bare spots all over the course and overall not worth $55 cash only on a Sunday
WAY, WAY OVERPRICED
It is a cow pasture without a sprinkler system or lawnmowers that use blades. Fairways and rough are indistinguishable.
Nice looking course but rough
The tee times were not honored as it seemed everything g was just first come first serve. We waited endlessly throughout the day. The greens are the furriest things I’ve ever seen. With some love and care this could be a decent track but today it’s not.
What you see is what you get
A joy to get right out and play at the drop of a hat since they have three nines you can almost always slip out for a quick nine.
Course was wet so carts were tricky. Greens hadn't been mowed because of rain so they were very slow but true. Soft greens held approach ball nicely!
Bring cash or look for ATM, no credit cards.
Enjoy!
Fantastic experience
This is a great course, greens are nice and a little challenging (not flat). Couldn't judge much of the fairways because I hardly hit them but they looked nice! The course was still wet but with all the rain it's understandable but the extra water slows the ball down so much which added a few strokes. Overall great and I'll definitely be back!
Bad
I played this course multiple times in 2024 and it was in no where near as poor condition as it is now. There are no fairways and craters everywhere. 35$ for this bad of a course is not worth the money. I was very disappointed after liking this course last year. Definitely avoid the trip here unfortunately
Don’t waste your money
Just don’t play here save your money go somewhere else even if it costs a little more. I’ll start this off as a warning. It’s cash only, you find that out when you get there. I’m assuming it’s because then you’re forced to use their ATM machine which has a surcharge on it to make more money.. next you’re greeted by unfriendly staff who just don’t care about anything but their personal conversations and chilling in the golf cart with their feet up. Then you go to tee off and it’s basically a tee box, someone’s unmaintained backyard, and then a green.. you could honestly putt this entire course because the ground is literal concrete. If you struggle to get the ball in the air, your ball is still gonna go 200 yards.. when you finally get onto the green, the holes are poorly cut. You can expect a lip out at the strangest times. As for the Green conditions themselves, you’re basically putting on shag carpet up until you get close to the hole then it becomes an ice rink. You can’t bring your clubs in the clubhouse they expect you to leave them outside saying “do you really think someone’s gonna steal them?” But make you show them your receipt before you go out to the first hole. Finally, we get to the pace of play, which even though there’s two gate guards, sending people off, by hole three there was three groups waiting at the same hole, which, then just trickled throughout the rest of the course. Don’t waste your money
Go somewhere else
Granted, we haven't had significant rain in weeks but this course was like playing on cement. Tee boxes so dry you could barely get a tee in, greens so burnt out they had spots full of cracks, and everything had insane amounts of roll out. We saw sprinklers and sprinkler heads through the course but there's no way they've turned them on in ages. Shame because if it was well maintained, it could be a pretty nice course.
Poor maintenance
Hard as a rock grass, the only thing watered was the greens but even those were rough. Could be a really nice course, challenging holes with lots of hills and trees.
General play
Fairway was harder than concrete I actually broke a golf club at the handle because of it. $50 for 18 and not being able to tell the difference between fairway and rough is ridiculous. I will say this the staff is great and super nice the course is just not taken care off at all@Loyal Oak(First & Second)
Home course!
Absolutely love this course! Staff is absolutely awesome and the course is a beautiful play. I’ll always golf Lotal as long as they are open!
