One of my favorite courses.
I play well there and the staff is very accommodating.
A good course, but...
Loyal Oak is great for the price in April, May and June. Come July the fairways start to brown and are very uneven. In August the fairways are just plain bad. At $19 it is worth playing there, if you employ winter rules.
Golf Experience
Putting was completely different on the front side vs the back side. Greens all looked amazing just different speeds. Course looked great.
As a Dad
As a Dad taking my 5 year old daughter golfing is a big deal for me, the staff made me feel welcomed as well as getting my little one a toy. She hugged that toy from the first to the last hole and even to bed. Thanks again it was an amazing experience as a Dad ❤️
Better available
Not worth the money, especially on weekends. Carts are very dated and cart fees should be waived for a majority of the carts. Had to wait past tee time for a cart that worked. Place is cash only, so not up to date with modern technology. Not a lot of diversity on the course. Can easily find somewhere nicer and better valued.
A nice open golf course
Nice golf course with open fairways that helps with pace of play. People playing on the coarse let me play through 3 times, and I finished 18 holes in 3 hours. Played there 3 times this year, and relaxed and had a good time hitting a small round ball with a funny looking stick into a little hole! Some fairways were burnt out in places (warm weather related) the greens were good. Overall Kudos.
Holy 1982 Batman
It’s cool that the course offers 27 holes but the cart paths are practically non-existent, golf carts are probably close to 30+ years old, the course looks beat up at times and they only accept cash or checks. That’s right folks…no debit or credit cards.
Plus I reserved our tee time on the GolfNow app and they didn’t have our reservation written down because everything they do is on paper.
Would not recommend this course!
Course has plenty of potential
Initially, cash only course. But they have an ATM to get more money from ya on the fees. The fairways aren’t true fairways, all grass is the same. The greens aren’t cut low enough and they soak them in water. My ball plugged a green, half in the earth. Not kidding. No 2 green speeds are the same.
I would recommend to a friend who doesn’t care about their game, but not to friends who do care and want to score well.
The course has huge potential if taken care of properly.
27 hole course with no golf range too…
A very good course in the spring...
come summer the fairways slowly go from green to brown.
First time here
The owner and staff are very personable and friendly. Had a very nice conversation with the owner and will definitely make this course one of my regular spots for sure.
Thanks for a great day of golf and conversation

Loyal Oak golf
I prefer golfing in nature with trees and nice views. This course fits the bill. And I will be back!
I like the course, but...
come the absence of rain, the fairways really suffer here. What was lush 2 weeks ago is now pretty well brown. It's not dirt or hard-pack, just dead brown grass interwoven with some green. Not sure what the problem is.
