About
Although it is located in Hauppauge on Long Island's North Shore, Wind Watch Golf Club possesses the look and feel of a destination course. Sprawling across a lush, rolling landscape covered with sparkling ponds, the course is as challenging as it is scenic. Water hazards come into play on 12 holes and there are more than 75 bunkers, some of which are massive in size, strategically placed throughout. Almost every hole presents golfers with a unique risk-reward opportunity. The golf course begins and ends at its highest point, which is one of the island's highest elevations. Wind Watch's closing hole provides a memorable finish as the only dogleg on the course. This par 4 takes a sharp left before climbing uphill to the triple-tiered green that is protected by three enormous traps.

Great course. Nicely kept.
Always a great course to play. Only complaint is that on certain days there is no food or beverages available.
Cart lady finally came around.
Also my buddy needed to rent a set of clubs as he was traveling to area. $60!!!! Rental fee.

Greens not healed yet
Played this course for the first time this year.
Greens were still not healed from the aerfication yet. Maybe another 2 weeks or so.
I always thought paying $115.00 was way too much!!!
At least the pace of play were good. Waited on almost every shot but still finished in 4 1/2 hours. Not bad for a Sunday round.
With better greens and a lower rate, I would play Windwatch more.

Slow play
There are people on the course who have no business being. On cell phones, looking to long for balls and no golf etiquette. We need a Marshall to drive around and keep the pace of playing going. Still on course with a 5.5 hour pace of play. Totally unacceptable

Poor Management Customer Relations - conf # 352097893
I used GolfNow on a Friday for a Saturday tee time. I know for sure I selected the Saturday.
Saturday my friend and I show up for our tee time and the pro shop stated I did not have one. I assured them I did. Further investigation they discovered it was booked for the previous day. I was puzzled cause I knew I booked for Saturday. I asked when’s next tee time. They said an hour and 20 mins. I said great can you put me in that time slot. They said yes but I’d have to pay. I said you already have two tee times I paid for. They said they lost that time slot they could have booked and I have to pay for new tee time and call GolfNow to get a refund. I said can’t you at least give me credit for a future tee time if I book the new one and they said No. I called GolfNow who in turn called the management of Windwatch who refused to authorize the refund. I understand Windwatch situation but was so taken back about their non flexibility to accommodate the golfer. I later found out Windwatch is owned by ClubCorp the largest operator of private golf and country clubs.
In reviewing in my mind when I was checking out in GolfNow I entered an incorrect cvv and had to redo. At that point GolfNow app must have defaulted back to current date, being Friday. GolfNow needs to check its software and ClubCorp needs to be more accommodating to its patrons.

A great track
I love playing this course…it has some really scenic holes that can be quite challenging. Played it today 8/31/21 and it was really damp in the fairways, My drives or second shots plugged at least 20 times. Typically would definitely recommend this course.

Worst Value on LI
For $115 there is no staff to assist, no GPS and the course is just OK. The conditions are good but the layout is stupid. It’s also beyond slow and there are no Rangers to push pace of play. This round took well over 5 hours. Just insane. I’m done with course. Never again.
