Roses Run Country Club
About
Roses Run Country Club is touted as being northeast Ohio's toughest public golf course. The course has an interesting mix of holes from lengthy par 4s to tough par 3s and reachable par 5s. The front nine is a traditional links layout while the back nine hugs the Cuyahoga River with winding fairways that melt into fast, sloping greens. The layout incorporates a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. There are also water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play throughout. Roses Run Country Club will require some creative shot-making and the use of every club in your bag. It's a formidable layout that will test even the most skilled players. There is a driving range and practice putting green you can use for warming up, which might be a good idea before taking on this tough course.

great challenging course but!!
The course is excellant, the only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was we had a 12:00 p.m. tee time and we had to switch to 12:30 once we got there because the course said that golf now.com didn't cancel the 12:00 p.m. time when we booked it and they overbooked that time. Then we had to start on the back nine first which was ok but when we made the turn we had to wait another 20 minutes because the course told us the people that had tee times had priority,so we had to wait to make the turn even though we helped the course out by being more than accomadating to them for there screw up even though they blamed golfnow.com. It is a nice course and is challenging but next time I think I will call the course to make sure the tee time I take isn't overbooked.
Equal to any of the local upscale courses. Beautiful and challenging.
One of the better kept secrets in Northern Ohio. Feels like your away at an out of state resort. Plan to return for another round ASAP.
Best condition in years; very challenging layout.
Played this course more than 100 times.
1. Course is in best condition in years. Greens were very good and course is very well maintained.
2. This course is very challenging: a) forced carries on 12 of 18 holes because of ponds and ravines, some holes have multiple carries-must be able to carry ball 150 yards; results in very slow play and there is rarely a ranger on the course. b) Signature hole (#12) is perfect example, beautiful; but requires two long carries and there is no effective landing area for second shot because of narrow fairway and substantial slope. Not a course for high handicaps; i.e., 18 or higher. c) requires accuracy of shot placement.
3. Reasonable/average value.
Nice course. Good value.
Nice course. Fairways are watered and in excellent shape. Greens are good. Nice layout. Very scenic holes on the back 9.
I will play there again.
Love it
It's my favorite course that we play and they have great food and even better beer specials in the club house jack!
Tough back 9
The greens were very quick and it made putting very difficult. Overall the fairways and rough were in good shape. I had a mich more difficult time navigating the back 9, on hole 12 i struggled mightly. After the round i did enjoy there nice barand overall the experience was good.
Greens need work
Greens are rather bumpy and the holes need to be moved more often to prevent grass from growing over the lips.
great place to play
for the time of year and the amount of rain we had the course was in great shape. ive played there before and its always very well maintained
Needs some attention but great potential
Played this course several times so its not that bad, but since Golfnow has some pretty good rates it hard to pass up. Course could use a little work and would get a lot more play, but doesn't seem to have a great reputation.
Course in good condition even this late in year (November). Greens were in good shape even after aeration.
The course was in good condition even this late in year (November) including greens that had been aerated. The only negative is the droppings from the omnipresent geese. However, the greens had been blown off and little to no dropping were present.
This is a beautiful challenging course. We played in the Fall and the foliage was great.
I was pleasantly surprised that for the price that it was not packed with golfers. The greens were being done for the Fall so that was the downside to this wonderful course.
Shot makers course. Target landing areas to score well.
This course was a real challenge. Alot of tricked up holes.Good ball striking a must to play here or bring an extra dozen golf balls. A must play course and a clubhouse that is spectacular and a charming place to cool off after a grinding round of golf.
Great course for under $30
Well kept greens. Nice tee boxes. Challenging back 9.
Country club feel
The course is challenging but very playable. You can have a great time if you have your B game. The turf is thick and lush and a good swing gives excellent results
