Roses Run Country Club

Love to play this course. Course was in great condition with only a few areas with standing water. Bunkers had plenty of sand and for the most part the greens & fairways were in great shape. Has plenty of challenging holes for the better golfers. Small greens require very accurate shots played into them. Once you get on you'll be faced with tiered greens that will test the best of putters. You need to play well in order to score well here. Staff was very friendly as usual and look forward to coming back.

I have been wanting to play this course for awhile...It down poured the night before so it was cart path only...made it tough to figure out yardages. Greens pretty good shape.

I played 18 holes as a two-some and really liked the course, it was in great condition considering we had heavy rains the night before. They had a sign out saying "Cart Path Only Strictly Enforced", considering we were the only ones adhering to that rule from what I saw that sign was a joke. The only problem with our round and the course was the ranger/starter. He was a pretty gruff guy who I saw ride down the 9th hole cart path once never to be seen again. This was a problem because when we made the turn a twosome who wasn't in front of us had just teed off on 10 and there was another twosome waiting to tee off. I told the twosome to stand aside and let us hit because we were making the turn and he looked at me like I had two heads. We then ended up behind a fivesome that wouldn't let us play through and we waiting on every shot. In addition this fivesome was driving carts all over the place including the aprons of the green. There are a lot of morons who grab some clubs and basically act like jerks on the course, most self-respecting courses and rangers are up to the task of taking control of the situation, but obviously not here.

Great rate. Staff was great. Course was wet due to recent rains but very playable. Greens were a little slow. Rough was thick. Will be going back soon.

I played with my husband who played 18 but I only played 9... the greens were in terrible shape and the fairways were not that great either!!

This is one of the best golf courses to play in terms of golf and value, it is one of my favorites, I just wish it wasn't so far for me to go. They have a party on the patio with a live band every Thursday and if you tee it up around 2 or 3 pm it works out and you will be playing 18 straight into the party and you can't miss having fun.

With a good hot deal this course is hard to pass up. There are a couple really stupid holes on the front nine (4 & 5), but the rest of the course makes up for it. The back nine is great. It poured when we played, had to stop for 30 minutes at the turn to let the weather pass. It was in good shape and played fast.

Heavy rains in the area had made most courses unplayable or CPO at the best. Roses was running 90* a few days after the storms. Some fairways were wet, but really only noticed when replacing my divots and stepping on them with a little extra pressure. Most of the greens had some areas of old damage to them, but they had been aerated and over seeded and appeared to be coming around nicely. Some traps had been washed out by the storms, but were being repaired, the other traps were in very good shape with a quality sand. A large stockpile of sand was visible at the maintenance shed, so I am sure that the traps under repair will be in playable shape soon. The rough on the the three holes on the far side of the Bike & Hike trail was the only area that was not cut to an acceptable height, I'm sure again due to the recent weather conditions.
Bunkering and mounding make it very deceiving and hard to pick out a line of play. That is why unless you are playing with someone who knows the course, spend the bucks and buy the yardage book.
I know that I am looking forward to my second trip around Rose's Run.

I didn't even play this course because the staff was so rude to the people in front of me, I left !! They need a crash course in how to treat potential clients.

Have played the run many times, due to the harsh winter the course has not in good shape, greens are damaged, traps destroyed, if going for the first time, I would wait until July, noticed they are working on repairs. Disappointed but will be back

Compared to courses in the valley in the Akron area, I was surprised by how wet this course was as I have played better conditions on some of those courses even this week after the large amount of rain. Water just seems to lay on it without draining. Most of this course was really not playable, as the grass that was not a large puddle was 6-8 inches long.

I always enjoy playing Roses Run. Greens were firm and tan or pale in color. Fairways were also tan in color and soft. Kind of surprised since it has been such a wet spring, would have thought the course would have been greener.

Course is challenging especially hole # 12, good luck getting there in 2..... Overall good course

The course was okay parts of it were under construction while other parts were in good shape the pace of play could've been faster. The scenery was nice will will probably come back.

The golf course itself is great and the staff friendly. Lots of different tee markers and the course is always in great condition. The greens are receptive but have subtle undulations. It is a position golf course. Although fairway are wide, it often pays to be on the correct side of the fairway.

The course meanders through a large housing development with some distance between greens and tees, so it is less suited to walkers. Also, the signposting to holes really does need to be made clearer as it is easy to get to the wrong hole!

That said, Roses Run remains one of my favorite courses in the area. The back nines contrast nicely and each of the par3's are memorable holes. I like it a lot and will return!
