Good course…depending on the time.
Overall this is a fun course but stay away from tee times after 6:00. Our tee of time was 6:42 on a Friday evening and we couldn’t finish nine holes before it got dark because there were several slow groups in front of us.

FOX DEN A GEM
County club conditions, public course. Pride of city of Stow. First..... negative. Mmmmm. Ah yes . Play could be slow in prime time. Course gets a lot of play. A real beauty. Great for ladies and gents, Pristine in everyway. Much attention to details, Course gets a lot of TLC from maintenance crew. Any and all items addressed and controlled quickly. Tough holes and easier holes. A real test of golf from the tips. Fairways and greens are as good as it gets. Greens are fast and some could be very difficult. Lot of fun to play. Nice grill room for food and beverages. Club house is always trying to make it pleasant for the golfers with updates. Restroom in the middle of the course is country club style. Not a portapoddy, a restroom with running water. If you have not played it, give it a try. You will return!

Horrible Pace of Play
Love the course and the staff is great and keep great care of it but the pace of play was horrible, ended up leaving after 9 holes because didn’t want to play a 7 hr round.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Not impressed
More than a few players I have met on other courses recommended Frox Den. If you like a course that is simple, easy and …. Well, today was a test of patience and appreciation of the game. Fairways were good, greens ok. Staff super pleasant.

Condensed and not updated on GPS
Tucked away off the grid it seemed like I was driving g back roads for 30+ min, would play again but probably will not based on location in proximity to where I live. Couple holes have changed since they last updated their GPS so my watch was off on a couple holes other than that it was good for the money I believe I got a deal on golf now for $25 it’s worth that, pace of play was slower than I would have liked and seemed as if no one had learned how to fix greens divots but that seems to be a trend with public courses. Regardless of your skill level respect the course and clean up after yourself.

First time playing
Nice course. Greens rolled nice. Fairways were in good shape. Short course. Suggest playing from the blue tees. Par 3's play a lot different from blue. Overall nice course.

Terrible Leadership
I play 3-5 times a week, at various courses, this is the first time I've ever been treated so poorly. We showed up and led off on time with nobody directly in front of us. After we finished the second hole we came up on a jam. By the end of the Third hole there were 3-6 carts in front of us waiting to either play or finish 4. We now had over an hour and 20 minutes into a round of 18 and hadn't even driven off on 4 yet. So I go to the clubhouse and ask if we could maybe play the back to skip ahead as we would never have time to finish all 18 at this pace anyway. The guy at the desk says absolutely not, so I asked for a raincheck, to which he says absolutely not, you booked with golf now, take it up with them! To this I asked him how he could be so rude when his club had the course triple booked with no way for the people booking at noon to finish 18 before dark? Again, he says Not his problem, and then asked me to leave! I will be calling the general manager today and asking if this is how you treat people THAT KEEP YOU IN BUISNESS!
