Golfer Reviews
Fun course with an interesting layout
Course was in great shape. I enjoy the layout of this course as it seems each hole has something about it that gives it character. Staff was very friendly and I'd recommend golfing here if in the area.
Sprinklers??
The staff was very nice. Came from out of state picked the course blind on golfnow. It was a nice course BUT seriously it was so irrigated that the greens swallowed up approach shots from farther that 20 yards out and some areas including teeboxes were just muddy as a result of over watering. Dear Owners, save some money and improve course conditions, turn off the sprinklers. Its a win win.
Loved It!
First time playing at willow and I was amazed. Especially since I got my 18 for $10.00 through hot deals. The greens were flawless. Played fast and the fairways were fairly decent. I will definitely being playing again.
great course
I golf here about once a week and truly love the course. It is well maintained and just a good course to enjoy
Very Pleasant Round
The staff is very helpful and friendly. Location is good. Nice and relaxing atmosphere. I look forward to returning.
I had not played the course for several years because being transferred to another state and when I return to this area, my friend and I decided to play it because the last time was 10 years ago and the course was not in good shape. To our surprise the course was in excellent condition, fairways and greens were excellent.
Willow Creek
Course was in very nice condition, pace of play moved along fairly well for the crowd was there. Very nice weather and enjoyable round.
Not bad. But don't trust the yardages.
I found this course to be somewhat of a challenge. You can't just bomb away at it and expect a good score. It's more or less places an emphasis on being able to hit draws and fades. And yes, there are spots that are completely burned out. But, as like many courses now that don't have a $300,000 yearly maintenance budget, it could use a good soaking. Just keep that in mind, especially if you book with the Hot Deal. The greens were perfect, however. They were some of the nicest greens I've seen all year. My only knock on the course is the yardages. It plays a lot shorter than advertised on a few holes. But other than that, the course is very nice and I absolutely would like to play there again.
nice
nice course. no bunkers but water on quite a few holes. great staff! even though we are in a drought the greens were soft and fully green.
Please rain soon
The course is in dire need of rain they have used all the water they have in their ponds we are going through a drought and need rain the owners are doing everything possible to save the greens
Please let it rain soon
Willow creek
Started me on back nine with league play., when front nine was open as far as I could see, which led to slow play
Check out this hidden gem
Decided to take advantage of a hot deal and am sure glad I did. Best walking course I've played ever! Perfect for average golfers. Greens were softer than any I've seen in a month. You could actually land a shot near the hole and it stuck. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Golfers ahead of me kept stopping and waving me through. Hot dog at the turn was among the best I've eaten. All topped off by shooting my best round in years. It's amazing how good you can shoot when the people and the course put you in a great state of mind. Do yourself a favor and play there ASAP.
In-Between
This course is pretty close to being a really nice place. You can tell they are working on it, and it is coming back from probably years of neglect. The fairways and greens (on the slow side) are in good shape. The rough is thin and patchy, but there is definition. This is not a hit it anywhere ego builder. It's only 6300 from the tips, but due to the meandering creek and a number of doglegs tee shot control is needed to score. I think it's tougher than the 108 slope rating it has. I played at 7 in the morning so the only thing that can be said about pace of play is that the parking lot still wasn't too full at 10 AM on a Sunday morning when I finished. If this course has a good greenskeeper and devoted management it will be a nice course as it continues to come back. Go play it if you have time for a drive or if you can get the deal price.
Course in great shape.
They've put a lot of time and money into the course. If you've played there last year, it's in WAY better shape this year.
