Beckett Ridge Golf Club
About
Beckett Ridge Golf Club was designed by Jack Kidwell, a well known name in Ohio golf. The course has a classic design that is inlaid with meandering streams that weave through stands of mature trees. The rolling landscape was deftly incorporated into the golf course. The layout offers a variety of holes ranging from long to short, tight to open. It is definitely a course that requires some strategy. One of the most memorable holes is the par-5 fifth. It measures 541 yards, but this downhill hole plays much shorter. There are out-of-bounds on either side and the tricky fairway slopes right to left but with some strategy and a little skill it is possible to make it home in two. Beckett Ridge is one of Southwest Ohio's best golf courses.

10th Hole at Beckett Ridge Photo submitted by Wahwah87 on 04/10/2013
Course is in good shape, they’ve done a lot to improve it. But clearly it’s cost them a good deal of money. They have now moved tee times to 8 minutes apart, which makes for ridiculously slow play. Sat and waited before every shot. The only other course I know of that does 8 minutes between tee times is green crest and that course is arguably the worst/slowest course in the area
Decent
Course was in good shape. Fairways were cut well, sand in the bunkers was fresh, and greens were fast but true. It was a tough day because it was so windy and the course was pretty booked, so that made for a slow round. I’d love a chance to play it in better conditions. Also looking forward to seeing how the clubhouse turns out.
Super fun course!
This course has invested a ton of money into bunker sand, seeding, and building a brand new clubhouse set to be complete in about a month. Staff is very friendly. They have a big putting green, snacks and drinks even without a clubhouse presently.
The course is super fun, not very narrow, attackable, but the greens are challenging in a good way. You won't be bored playing this course!

Beckett is Back!
We recently had the pleasure of playing our annual tournament at Beckett Ridge Golf Club and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with the course's immaculate condition. The greens were rolling, fairways were in great shape and bunkers were actually full of sand. This was an enjoyable and challenging round of golf. We were a little skeptical prior to booking as the course was in poor condition the last few years, but they have totally changed that perception. The course was in awesome shape.
But what truly sets Beckett Ridge Golf Club apart from other courses is the warm and welcoming hospitality of the staff, particularly Zach (GM) and Tony (Pro). From the moment we arrived, they made us feel like family, ensuring that all of our needs were met and that we had a fantastic experience.
The attention to detail and personal touch didn't go unnoticed, and it added an extra layer of enjoyment to an already fantastic round of golf.
Overall, I would highly recommend this course to any golfer that has not played Beckett in a few years due to the poor conditions of the course due to prior owners. The fantastic condition of the course combined with the exceptional hospitality of the staff made for a truly great tournament. They are still working on the clubhouse, but Zach hoped the club house should be open very soon.

On the Mend?
Fairways are in great condition.
Some of the tee boxes need attention and repair.
Car path are atrocious like driving on a mine field.
Very hilly course no flat greens.
Pro shop is working out of a fifth wheel travel trailer. New clubhouse under construction.
A lot of maintenance activity going on Green tenders, cutting grass, etc sand traps in excellent condition.
Located in a residential neighborhood many of the houses are well off the fairway.
Undergoing Renovations should mean cheaper price
Course is undergoing a full renovation but still charging a decent rate. That’s not cool.
On the Mend
Course appears to once have been part of a large country club. The original clubhouse is to the right of the 18th tee and along with tennis courts and pool has been abandoned.
The course conditions were above an average; however, they were aerating the fairways and I was not told in advance. Greens were in very good condition, but they have abandoned or grad over most of the green side bunkering.
The layout is over some very severe terrain in spots that yields so holes with big elevation changes. Some of these holes work and some like the second are head scratchers.
Course is worth a play if the price is right.
