About
Beckett Ridge Golf Club was designed by Jack Kidwell, a well known name in Ohio golf. The course has a classic design that is inlaid with meandering streams that weave through stands of mature trees. The rolling landscape was deftly incorporated into the golf course. The layout offers a variety of holes ranging from long to short, tight to open. It is definitely a course that requires some strategy. One of the most memorable holes is the par-5 fifth. It measures 541 yards, but this downhill hole plays much shorter. There are out-of-bounds on either side and the tricky fairway slopes right to left but with some strategy and a little skill it is possible to make it home in two. Beckett Ridge is one of Southwest Ohio's best golf courses.

Never again
Three of us were paired with single who the starter decided to let go out earlier with another group ahead of us. That was fine. 2 golfers tee off in front of us from the white tees. We were scheduled to tee off at 830, finally got out just after 840. Playing from the blues. Still that was fine - no problem… come to about the 5th or 6th hole, we were approached by a ranger who told us to speed up the pace of play, which is not abnormal, so we did. Although at no point were we delaying the foursome behind us but ok, that’s fine. We picked up the pace & went on our way. Again, the foursome behind us never had to wait for us to hit our balls & at no point in time were we ever delaying any of the 4 golfers. Come to hole 8, we were approached again!! The old ranger says “you guys must not have understood when I told you to pick up the pace”. Wow! We asked him why he felt the need to continuously interrupt our round & he had nothing to say other than he was judging the pace based on the distance between groups. Are you kidding? They were one hole, a par 3 ahead of us — keep in mind the 2 people in front of us were playing from the white tees & the 3 of us were playing from the blue tees. The ranger started following us as we played; was egotistically rude the entire time & had an extremely poor attitude. I’m still shocked at this Busch league interaction & will never return to this golf course. There are too many other courses to play where the workers don’t naively disrespect paying players, just because he might’ve been having a bad day. We all have bad days — for many of us, that’s why we go to the course!
Nice course, slow play
Heard course was in rough shape a few years ago but in good shape now, especially for public course. Only complaint was pace of play - 2.5 hours for 9 holes.
Great course love that it keeps improving
Course has improved a lot over the last couple of years and they seem committed to improving
no club house
The golf courses and greens are perfect, but there is no club house which is under the construction.
This course has some great holes. The upkeep of the course seems like it has not been a priority of the club. They need new cart paths, there were obstructions that seemed out of place/ overgrown on a few tee boxes. Greens Were slow but receptive to approach shots. Fairways were well maintained for the most part. Staff was friendly and helpful. No driving range to warm up with the first hole being a par 5 makes for a long hole.

Better and better
I have been playing at Beckett Ridge since moving back to Cincinnati in 2020. Each time I come out the course is in better shape. I think the course is in the best condition that I can remember. The greens are in excellent shape. The fairways are immaculate. I will continue to come back and play at Beckett regularly.
There’s no clubhouse or proshop it’s an RV in the parking lot.
No Clubhouse
There is no clubhouse…or dining room. So unfortunate…for such a great layout of a golf course. Enjoy the course…but, no “19” hole.
Course is in great shape
Played here a million times out of convenience and had previously just accepted the bad conditions. Saw the reviews saying they improved but thought they might just be bots. I can verify though that this place is in fantastic shape. Best I’ve ever seen it.
I respect that they put all the money in the course and didn’t waste it on side stuff. Pace was pretty bad (5 hours on a weekday) but I will be back.
