About
Beckett Ridge Golf Club was designed by Jack Kidwell, a well known name in Ohio golf. The course has a classic design that is inlaid with meandering streams that weave through stands of mature trees. The rolling landscape was deftly incorporated into the golf course. The layout offers a variety of holes ranging from long to short, tight to open. It is definitely a course that requires some strategy. One of the most memorable holes is the par-5 fifth. It measures 541 yards, but this downhill hole plays much shorter. There are out-of-bounds on either side and the tricky fairway slopes right to left but with some strategy and a little skill it is possible to make it home in two. Beckett Ridge is one of Southwest Ohio's best golf courses.

DON’T PLAY
I understand this course has recently changed ownership, but the fact they are still trying to charge $40 for 18 is a complete joke. Nobody in their right mind would replay for that rate. We’ll see if it can make a comeback in the next few years, but a lot of money will have to be put into it before they think people will play consistently.
Terrible condition
Course has a lot of potential but the owner puts no money or labor in it. Crap grass around the greens and rough. Would not recommend it to anyone.

Don’t Waste Your Money
I used to play this course all the time and it was in great condition. Played there Saturday for the first time this year and the new ownership has run this course into the ground. There was a water leak in the clubhouse and they failed to fix it so Butler County made them close and board it up. The solution for them is a camper in the front of the clubhouse that acts as a “pro shop”. We had a 7:45 tee time, arrived at the course and there were already 10 people there standing outside of the “mobile pro shop” and no employees at the course. We called the number on the front of the camper and woke up whoever it was on the other end and in his half awake voice told us he would be there in 5 minutes. While waiting all of the golfers waiting realized they booked all of our tee times within minutes if not the exact time of one another so we were all basically scheduled to tee off at the same time. Ten minutes later two guys roll up in a pick up truck and open the camper to start handing out cart keys. The course was in horrible condition and not worth the $40 we paid GolfNow to play it. the greens were long and bumpy, fairways were patchy, and they filled in the majority of the bunkers with dirt and failed to try to reseed. i doubt this course will be around much longer but do not waste your money or time on this golf course.

Disappointing but lots of potential
I recently moved back to West Chester for the first time since 2008. I use to play Beckett on a semi regular basis (4-5 times a year). I actually just purchased a home in Beckett Ridge and was really excited to get back out on the course and support my neighborhood golf club. I must say, I was really a bit disappointed. I understand this course has had it's ups and downs and has changed ownership somewhat recently, but it wasn't what it use to be, which is unfortunate because the course has so much potential. The fairways were in OK shape, but the second you stepped outside of them it was in bad shape. Even some of the fairways had little grass and were mostly dirt. I know the lack of rain hasn't helped, but I expected better. It seems as though the bunkers (those that are left) are in awful shape. Most were filled with water, hadn't been raked in who knows how long, and were mostly unplayable. The greens were the bright spot. Most were in good shape and saved the round from being awful. It looks like the pro-shop might be under construction or being renovated? The check in and "pro-shop" is a trailer out front of the clubhouse (which looks like its going to fall over soon). The parking lot is in desperate need of pavement.
I'm hopeful things can turn around as I really do think this course has so much to offer, especially with just buying a house in the neighborhood. It has a great layout and is challenging enough to make you think and shake your head every know and then, but forgiving enough to make you want to come back. My hope is the new ownership team can put a little bit of time and money into this place and turn it back into a destination course in Cincinnati. Fingers crossed!

Course needs work
Great layout overall but the course is in poor condition.

New ownership
This golf course used to be one f the top golf courses around. Thankfully new owner will without any doubt be returning this course to the quality it is known for. Course layout great. Great for all levels of skill. Look forward to playing again.

This course has seen much better times. Every time I decide to give it another chance, the conditions seem to get worse and worse. The layout needs work. Little to no maintenance for fairways tees and bunkers. The greens are actually better than you might think. They took away the back tees when I was there and with probably good reason as they let them get overgrown. A fair price for this course would be 20 maybe. Wouldn’t waste your money unless you get an especially good hot deal.

Great layout
This mayst have been a great course in. It’s prime but those days have passed. The tee box has not been cut in a while, fairways average but the greens putt well. Pace of play was 5 1/2 hours so it just killed the round completely so there was very little enjoyment to be had. I think if the pace of play was better I would have been less critical of the condition of the course but I still don’t think it is great value for money at all. But I think that this course has potential and could bounce back if it had better funding.

Not the quality that it used to be
The course has gone way down in quality. Only a few staff left to manage the course and for a weekend the greens weren't cut and time of crab grass everywhere. Carts are supposedly brand new but already having troubles.
Because they can't afford to keep putting money into the course, they've filled in many of the fairway bunkers with grass sand the bunkers that are left aren't filled with sand.
This course is barely a $20 course (good tough layout) but they are charging $51.
They are putting the money into a clubhouse upgrade (instead of the course) so be prepared to use a portapotty. And don't ask for golf balls. A $25 steal they said for Bridgestone golf balls was actually precept (which Bridgestone makes but not the same thing).
So disappointed in this course from what it once was.

Not what it used to be
Recently coming under new management, they are understaffed and it shows on the course. Bunkers haven’t been tended to in what appears to be weeks and have little to no sand, just hard packed dirt. The greens were okay, but definitely not worth the drive or the rates they’re charging, even with a deal. The course has lots of potential, but needs far more attention (staffing) than it’s receiving.

The tee boxes were overgrown with crabgrass. Some tee boxes were soggy from malfunctioning sprinklers. The markers in the tee boxes were not reset after bad mowing job. The greens needed immediate attention. The fairways were absolutely terrible.

Stay Away
I don’t know where to start...but 56.00 to play this course is absurd, it’s worth about 15-20.00....burnt up fairways, tee boxes haven’t been cut in who knows how long, not a single water cooler on the course, and get this, wayyy overbooked...apparently there was a backup happening and a ranger/mower asked us to skip a hole to help “speed up the pace” while watching the group in front of us hit every shot about 20 yards...said we could come back and finish that hole when we were done lol...it was hole 15 they wanted us to skip...of course I refused to do anything like that, so he went to harass the other group...we had a 7:28 tee time and there was already 4 groups out ahead of us and us and 2 other groups waiting on the first tee with us....the owner that was checking everyone in was friendly at least...I’ve played about 20 different courses this year, and I’ll never return to play this dump again...please, save your money and time and go elsewhere

Not worth the money
I was very disappointed in the course conditions. Burnt out fairways, tee boxes, and greens. Weeds all throughout the course including the greens. Club house was run out of trailer. I played this course a few years ago and was excited to come back. The condition of the course is worth $10 at best. Incredibly disappointed and will not be going back.

The Fairways on the Front 9 were burned out. Very disappointed.

Wow!! What happened to this course?
What has happened to this course? Worse shape I have ever seen. Owner was there when I checked in, explained under new ownership for 3 years now. had to see for myself the rumors of how poor it has gotten. A premier course gone bad, what a shame. would not spend over $30 to play. I got a hot deal on golf now, thank god I only payed $17.00.

Don’t be fooled!
I’ve played this course many times over the last decade!! What an utter disappointment and waste of money! Not worth the rate. Poor condition and maintenance. Heavy rains two days prior - bunkers full of water and packed tight with no work done for play. Full of weeds... won’t spend another dime here!!
