Beckett Ridge Golf Club

For the $30 discounted price I paid, the course was okay, but not great. Many, many bare muddy spots in fairways, eroded areas near greens, tee markers that hadn’t been moved in a while……less than great. This was supposed to have been redone and improved several years ago, if it was I would hate to have seen what it looked like back then. Course could be so much more.

Several Fairways were burned out, which was surprising, given the area has had above average rainfall all year. Tee boxes were also in rough shape and dried out, which again, surprising in that the area is +6 inches on the rainfall averages YTD.

The saving grace for my experience is that the greens were, for the most part, impeccable. Receptive and deceptively quick, they were some of the best greens that I’ve ever putted… and for that reason alone, I’ll be back.

For $48 on nine holes I’d expect the greens to be in pretty decent condition. However they are most certainly not. The tee boxes were an absolute mess… One was so bad they had made it off to the side… in the ROUGH. Don’t get me started on ball marks. The water stains on the course map display in the cart made reading the screen almost impossible, thank goodness I had Windex in my car when loading my clubs. Municipal courses for half the price are in better shape… Spend your money elsewhere.

Love this course as my home course but needs way better overall maintenance. Was so pure in the month of June and have never seen a course go downhill so quickly. Figure it out quick

Most of the ladies tees were in really bad shape. They were slanted and not well kept. There were many times they were just in the rough or fairway and weren't actual tee boxes. Lots of spots on the fairways were just dry patches of dirt too.

There was no driving range so we couldn't warm up how we wanted to. The carts beeped at us that we were in restricted areas pretty much every hole, even when we were on the designated cart paths. We also kept getting messages to keep up pace, but we were sitting at every tee box waiting for groups in front of us to keep moving. At hole 18 there were 3 groups at the tee box waiting.

The staff were nice and the grab and go food options were good at the clubhouse. But overall, it wasn't worth and money and we won't be back.

Heavy storm for several hours at tee time. Jim at the course refused to give another tee time or raincheck.

Cost me $100 for two tee times.

The course is one of the greatest golf courses in Cincinnati. If staff members warmly welcome golfers, it can put them in a good mood, One of the worst aspects i the workers who cut grass lacking work ethic and etiquette. Golfers had to wait until the workers passed by which broke a normal playing pace. They did not recognize how much terrible such bad work habits. Specifically, the lawn mower workers did not stop working even when golfers were playing. They blew wind, spreading cut grass towards the golfers, which was a horrible experience.

Tried Beckett Ridge again after playing about 10 days ago in the hope that pace of play would be better. Took 36 minutes to finish first two holes and then I found myself waiting on 3rd tee for what would have been at least 5 more minutes to tee off and people behind me about to pile up. Felt like I was looking at a 5+ hours round at that point - if I got lucky. So I turned aroundd and went back to clubhouse, unloaded and left. Nice course - have played there many times. But recently, too crowded with slow players. Will probably not play there again.

This was my 2nd time playing here in the past month. I don't remember there being so many unrepaired ball marks the first time. Maybe the pin placement needs changed more often? And players just need to clean up their ball marks in general.

I had the misfortune of getting in 4 to 5 sand traps this second time playing. They were very shallow sand, with clay underneath. They could use more sand.

Scorching hot 4th of July and course was quiet so we moved along nicely. Enjoyed the course, back 9 more so.
