Nice Course
Greens are in great shape considering the time of year. Fairways were not green yet but had grass on most of them that should green up soon. A few challenging holes with multiple water hazards. Hole 18 is a 600 yard par 5.
No fairways here
Starting on the range, there was no grass to hit on, just dirt. Hole layouts were good, and challenging. Greens were okay, some had dead spots. The fairways were nowhere to be found, just more dirt and hard pan.

Great Rustic Course
I have golfed both cimmaron national and aqua canyon several times. I enjoy these courses because they are more rural and it doesnt feel like you are golfing in someones back yard which is huge plus for me. They are also easy to find a tee time. The course is in moderate condition and hopefully spruce up through the spring but are some rough patches but nothing that bothers me too much. My only major knock on the course is they do not offer family memberships which I think is disappointing.
Hello, Thank you for visiting us. We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. We hope you join us for another round soon.
Goat Track
Course is in horrendous shape. Numerous patches of dirt in nearly every fairway. Greens were nearly unplayable, with weeds and dead spots. Worst conditions I’ve ever played on. They’d have to pay me to get me to come back. Definitely one to avoid!! I’d give zero stars if possible.

Greens were horrible
Over the course was in decent shape. The only issues I had with this course were the greens. Every green had dead and rough patches of grass and pin placement was put basically In the areas that made it virtually impossible to put. I will say this course is not for beginners. If it wasn't for the greens this course would have at least a 4 out 5 rating from me.

Fair money value. Not expecting a well manicured course.
Fair money value. Not expecting a well manicured course for the money but the greens are in rough shape. The greens had large areas of dead grass and rough patches
Fairways were dormant but very thin. Obviously not well watered in summertime. (There has been a drought in the area).

Course conditions
Every year this course starts out great. However about June/July they let it get infested with disease and completely let it go. It’s like they stop watering and don’t care. They also don’t let u know when they greens are perforated at all? When Duffy was alive his courses were in way better condition. Sad to see.

Such a great venue. My son and I have been playing there for a few years now. He lives in Wichita and I'm in Dallas. We meet at Cimarron National to play a couple of times a year. Love the lay out. But the weather was not kind to course this year and unfortunately the course was in bad conditions with dried up fairways and patchy greens. Hope next year is better and we still we be going back !!

Great Golf Day with my Son
My Son lives in Wichita KS and I live in Dallas. We have golfed here 4 times in last 3 years as we plan the day for 27 Holes after meeting halfway in Guthrie OK. It is always a good time and we love the layout of both courses. This year seems to have been very tough on the courses as both fairways and greens were in poor shape. That said - we played fast and the day was perfect. Gotta love that. We will be back next year and hopefully the course will get some much needed rain.
Hi. Thank you so much for your feedback. We are glad you had enjoyed your time at Cimarron National- National Course, and pride ourselves on delivering the best experience possible.

Course needs some serious work
Played in a VGA tournament out there. Course was in horrible shape. Greens were trash. Sands were not kept. All the water jugs on the course were empty.
Fairways was so overgrown that I hit a tree stump I could not see. Worst round I played.
I used love taking the drive to Guthrie to play This course.
Thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for the poor experience you had during your visit. The current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve and are working diligently to improve the course. Thank you for playing and we hope to see you again soon.
Dry Summer
I’ve played Cimmarron National, occasionally, for decades. So, I can confirm the excessive amount of hard pan and poor green conditions are due to an extremely dry golf season. National offers a challenge to golfers at every level. The challenge loses its entertainment value in these bad conditions.

A forgotten relic
You could tell by the stepping into clubhouse, this play used to be EPIC back in it’s prime. The layout was tight and challenging, pretty cool!
It was my first time playing, and it was a challenge for sure!
Unfortunately, they’ve lost the entire course, greens and fairways including. I knew by stepping onto the first green it was going to be a long day. But the fairways were so sad. I don’t hit a lot of fairways, but when I do……. I prefer it not to be an acre of bare red sand for no reason. 😝
There was a cute little sign on 8 inviting you to call ahead for lunch at the turn. They hung up on me twice, and then said they were too busy to take a call-in order for a pre made sandwich that was printed on the sign.
Go play somewhere else.

Wait a while…..
I’ve been hitting this course at least once every six weeks for the past two years and always really enjoy either of the two courses. While playing on hard fairways isn’t abnormal in OK during the summer (especially those that don’t water them) and semi-expected, that was no surprise. However, the greens took an absolute nosedive down to levels I’ve never seen (at any course I’ve ever played). Not only was putting pretty much impossible, there were multiple hornets nests burrowing in the greens at several of the holes. Asked the pro shop staff afterwards and was told there were mistakes in turf management as of late, and they seemed sincerely apologetic…….but they shouldn’t be charging full price right now with these conditions. Again, we typically love playing these courses at Cimarron, but it will be quite a while before we go back. Played Cedar Valley just down the road three weeks later, and it was great as usual…….so the reason Cimarron went downhill is a head scratcher. Hopefully they can get things turned around soon, but it looks like my fall/winter visits I usually have here will be a no go.

Do not waste your time
This was the worst course I have ever played. They are charging full price and you can’t even putt on the greens, it’s very laughable. Have the tees you have to hit a 200 yard shot, so you do not get to have fun for a normal city course. The fairways you are hitting off of rock or clay. They shouldn’t be charging more than $10 and that’s just so you can have a cart until the fix their course. Will never go back even if they sent me a free round.
The only person that was personable was the bartender. But to not have a bev cart on a Saturday…. Waste of time.
