Not worth the $45+ price
If you are going to charge people over $45 for playing, you should atleast have water for players. No water anywhere on the course during a 90+ degree day. They charge you $2 for a bottle of water. Some greens are complete dirt, it shouldn't cost more then $30 for what they offer, pitiful considering Cedar Valley is way better ran and cared for.
Great course, friendly staff. Greens need attention
Only concern was the poor quality of several greens. Generally most were good, but many had some weeds and several had dead/dirt spots.
Solo round on a cloudy day
This is one of my favorite places to play a round of golf.
Challenging but not impossible. Everyone around is very friendly, staff and players alike.
Carts were clean and ran well, I came on a slow day so I was able to play unhindered so I took the time to pick up some tees and fix some divots others had left behind.
Nice and relaxing day!
Disappointing.
Booked a teatime on this course because it seemed to be one of the highest reviewed courses in the area. Maintenance was very much lacking in areas everywhere from the fairways to the greens, which were either. Lush or Barron depending on the portion of the Green. No idea what is going on other than it comes across as a course that is past its prime and needs a significant Infusion. Everything is tired from the clubhouse to the hole flags. A request for rental clubs was met with surprise .They cobbled together two sets of mismatched clubs that have to be at least 30 years old. On the bright side, there are no bunkers anywhere on the course.
Challenging & Fun
Didn’t know what to expect at first, but ended up being a pretty challenging course for a newb. However, it was the last course I had to play to establish my handicap. Ended up with a 17 according to GHIN.
Great course though, well maintained. Greens were kind of in need of a little bit of work, but looks like it’s being done and they are taking care of the best they can. Props to the course managers! Loved it.
Poor condition of course
There was bare patches of dirt, weeds everywhere in the fairways. The greens nobody fixes their ball divots and they look like they have some sort of disease. The rate of play was slow. Water coolers out around the course, but not one paper cup anywhere, also no beverage cart, very poor service for a so called decent course you pay $46.00 to play.
Nice public course
The overall condition of the course is pretty. Some greens and fairways need some tlc. But other than that a pleasant course to play. I will be back to play the other course Cimarron National.
Water!!
Water us the key in 100 degree weather. No personal cooler allowed, no cart person, no water in coolers on course, no water in vending machines either, the tees were too hard to even use a tee! Water is vital all the way around. Like the course, but it needs some TLC for the prices.
Course condition was horrible!
Condition of the course was beyond poor, for my wife and I to play 18 it was $98. The course looked like a desert, grass was dead all over the place bare dirt was the common theme. Greens very burnt up with a lack of attention. Weeds and course grass length was terrible!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
Beautiful scrnery
The course is in decent condition considering we are having a drought here. The holes are long for the ladies. Food was good. Restrooms were clean.
Great experience
This was an amazing corse had a lot of fun great staff even for a Sunday.
Do not play here
I have played here for 35 years today they had a marshal stop me on number three and ask me if i had alcohol i didn't have a cooler he was a jerk on number 9 he told us we couldn't play 5 and know one come down nine until he second group went off and it was on our second shot before we saw anyone went to get beer at the turn and the bar was closed worse experience i have Ever had at any golf course the course was not good fairways were weeds and dirt green good dont waste your money go over to ceder valley much better management and better taken care of i did talk to the owner but he was a jerk as well DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE
Aqua Canyon
Greens were in good shape. Fairways were not good at all. Either hitting off of dirt or weeds. Not much grass to hit off. As much rain as we have had, the course was green and thought the fairways would have been better. Greens were extremely slow, but we did play it in a slight drizzle so that was to be expected. Golf carts are older and have no GPS or any USB ports.
Aqua Canyon is a great course
It’s not easy, but it’s not hard. It’s nice to have par 4’s that don’t all require driver. Greens were excellent, and rough was well maintained. Went on a Wednesday and could play any pace I wanted. Club cafe and bar is good. Will return.
Really about Golf Now
Storms last night so the course shut down today. No call for Golf Now. It would have been nice to have been told about this in advance. The person at the course let us know that they had informed Golf Now that they shut down for the day. Nothing was communicated to us.
