The Canyons At Blackjack Ridge

I love this course. the greens were just another bunker. large pebbles mixed in with the sand. I will be back, but truly disappointed.

Do not even think about booking this golf course. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a course in worse condition. It was straight out of a horror movie. All the greens were completely burnt to a crisp, I can’t even call them greens it was just yellow, dead grass/dirt The fairways we’re not much better as they were all completely browned out burned up and yellow as well This course needs to be shut down and give them time to heal up as for them to be open and charging money to play this place is a joke. We are not talking about one or two greens being bad, we’re talking about the entire place. The amount of negligence that this golf crew had to put in to get this place in this bad of shape is astonishing to me. The fact that it appears a bunch of money recently went into the renovated clubhouse was a complete miss allocation of funds. Apparently they need to invest in a better greenskeeper superintend it, as well as an irrigation system some fertilizer, some grass seed. The list goes on and on, but the last thing this place need it was a clubhouse when the course is unplayable.

It had been a few years since I had played here last. Horrible conditions, hopefully just due to the season. Fairways were dormant. Greens recently rolled and filled with sand and overseed. Driving range was nothing but sand. That being said, I forgot how nice the layout is of this course. It hits well above a typical municipal track. The new clubhouse is beautiful.

I definitely look forward to giving it another go when conditions improve.

Late winter round so no comment about the conditions. Upgrades to clubhouse, practice range, and #10 tee will enhance the feel around the clubhouse.

Kitchen has a top 3 burger in all of Tulsa so don’t sleep on it. Have been told on multiple turns that the dogs are the best in the world but I can’t stop ordering the burger so I can’t confirm.

It’s a very hilly course. Fairways and greens were slick as ice. Will be in great shape come spring but I’ll be waiting till then to come back.

I was going to rate this 3 stars which for me means you should play it if you get the chance, but had to bump it to 4 stars on value alone. With the 55 and over discount I payed $28 to play with a cart. You literally cannot beat that value. Conditioning was pretty good some of the greens were a little bumpy due to some new sod but overall they rolled pretty true and not too fast I would guess 8-9 on the stimp. Plenty fast if you are above the hole. Very mountainous course with some very elevated tee shots. The next time I play I would hit to some different spots it's only 6200 yards from the tips so not overly long but you can drive it through the fairways off a few of the tees so when in doubt play smart. a few forced carries but nothing too awful even from the back tees. Some fanatastic panorama views of the Tulsa skyline that alone are worth the green fee. Not a great course but a very fun course I would reccomend it and I look forward to playing it again.
