A fun course
This course is extremely scenic and fun to play. The holes are challenging and interesting. The course itself is maintained very well, over all the best course I've played so far.
Should be perfect conditions in a week or two
Piece of play could have been a little better but, it's always hit or miss with the group in front of you or the group in front of them. There was definitely a whole hole open for most of the round in front of the group in front of us. No Ranger came around to speed up play.
As far as the course goes the fairways are in great shape. The greens are still a little hard and still bumpy from the early spring aeration. By the end of April the course should be in great shape. The greens definitely weren't bumpy from ballmarks because no matter how high you flew a ball into the green, there was no BALLMARK even created.... and then putting your ball must have jumped at least 7 times before it got to the cup... with no break in the greens....
It was a beautiful day for golf though and the staff is the best and friendliest on long Island! New carts also and the cart GPS was on point with the distance accuracy......
Super Slow
It was a chilly and windy day for sure. The wind alone would’ve slowed up play somewhat. But, by the time we reached the 12th tee box there were three groups on the tee with one still walking up to the putting green. Not a single ranger seen on the course all day.
Ready for season
Cherry is open and ready to go course is in good condition. Greens are still growing in and showing minor signs of aeration. I don’t ever remember them being all that fast anyway. Some don’t like this course. Idk why. It’s really good value. Pretty wide open and forgiving. If they added some fescue in the right places this could be a really top notch links links course. But I enjoy it as it is and it’s open ready to go
Great track in good shape
Great layout to this course- some holes are rather challenging, but other are fair. Course was in very good shape for this time of year, especially the bunkers! Recently renovated pro shop and main building appear very nice. No complaints. Looking forward to going back soon.

Rough too high!!!! Slows pace of play. Found four balls previously lost in the rough. Fairways were not maintained.
Too high. No roll.
Driving range not mowed.
Greens BUMPY and SLOW!!! Will NOT return.

Fairway condition needs improvement
We used to play this course a lot pre pandemic. My goodness the course condition now is deteriorating so much particularly for the fairway. I now know why there are so many people choosing Bethpage. Hope management will pay attention and work on the course condition and the pace as it was also terrible.
Slow as molasses
We couldn’t even finish 18 holes it was so painful. Many holes had 4 groups on it and we waited 20 minutes to tee off. Course was in decent shape but greens were ridiculously slow. Lucky the weather was nice.
