Golfer Reviews
Great course to play
Course is always on great shape and a pleasure to play. Pace was pretty good for a Sunday afternoon- never felt like we were waiting very much. Greens were a little slow but in good shape.
A perfect day
My 2 friends and I were running late and the Links were so very nice about it. They got us out as soon as possible and it was just a beautiful day. The course was perfect and our play was not at all but with the help of a cool breeze we had one of the beat rounds ever. Even though our scores were not good. This place is amazing.
Rough is Extremely Penal
This is a very nice course with an interesting layout. Its toughest defense is the thickness of the rough. Stay on the fairway or expect a difficult round.
Great course !!
excellent condition !!
stay away from the rough .. its thick and tough 2 get out of..
Heavy Thick Ruff, Shaggy Greens
Half the day was spent hunting for balls within 5 yds of the fairway. They haven’t been mowing nearly enough. Greens were slow & shaggy.
Long course
Very long corse in good condition Rough on either side of fairways are deep.
Great condition
Grass was perfect. Long off the fairways made the game challenging.
Cherry blossoms in full bloom!
Our annual CB round. Had great time. Course was fair if you drive it in fairways. Rough was thick and lush. Hard to find balls that strayed off course. Greens were inconsistent. Besides all that it was. Fun spending time with my friends.
A fun course
This course is extremely scenic and fun to play. The holes are challenging and interesting. The course itself is maintained very well, over all the best course I've played so far.
Should be perfect conditions in a week or two
Piece of play could have been a little better but, it's always hit or miss with the group in front of you or the group in front of them. There was definitely a whole hole open for most of the round in front of the group in front of us. No Ranger came around to speed up play.
As far as the course goes the fairways are in great shape. The greens are still a little hard and still bumpy from the early spring aeration. By the end of April the course should be in great shape. The greens definitely weren't bumpy from ballmarks because no matter how high you flew a ball into the green, there was no BALLMARK even created.... and then putting your ball must have jumped at least 7 times before it got to the cup... with no break in the greens....
It was a beautiful day for golf though and the staff is the best and friendliest on long Island! New carts also and the cart GPS was on point with the distance accuracy......
