Cherry Creek Golf - The Links Course

Pace was not bad for a sunday.not as difficult as the woods course.well worth the 40 dollar green fee!

The Course was in great shape for this time of year in the Northeast
Not one leaf on fairways

The Course played well, the greens had not been rolled out yet so they played pretty slow. Course was in good condition and was a lot of fun to play

Cherry creek is a nice course in very good condition. Rate of play was terrific because hardly anyone was golfing this day.

Contrary to another reviewer, the man in the pro-shop was very friendly and let us go out early.

I used to play this course a lot. Their staff is not friendly anymore. They used to have very nice guy to work in the pro shop. The new guy is very nasty. They don't welcome discount golf fee like golfnow. They make you to wait until your tee time is up even though the course is empty. The guy in the pro shop will yell at you as he think that you're trying to head up to play. The guy inthe pro shop will send ranger to embarrass you and tell you because your green fee discounted, you have to wait even though no one plays. They simply discriminated the people pay discounted green fee. They don't welcome us. Very nasty pro shop guy. I don't want to go back there.

enough challenges and possibilities for golfers of all levels.

Well manacured course. Especially the Greens. A course I would recommend.

Well kept, carts in new condition, play would have been faster, the couple we were with were a little slower than we normally play. Food good. Would have appreciated a beverage cart, had in the past there.

The routing as well as the layout are good. Many fairways are wide and receptive. Greens are quite slow but true.

Overall, the golf experience is enjoyable .... and challenging.

Beautiful day with light breeze and low humidity. If only I could hit the ball straight!

Staff friendly, off early before our tee time. The cups where not changed in some time. Greens not cut on Tues 7/2/13. Resulted in poor putting and score, Many ball marks not fixed on greens by fellow golfers before us. The 18th hole measured only 579 by sky caddie and this is the famous par ( SIX) don't think so maybe nice par 5.. Many courses on LONG ISLAND need to cut greens lower for speed and roll greens.

Interesting layout and not too difficult with pretty wide fairways. Grass range. The par 6 18th plays like a par 5. I like this course.

The course was well maintained and the secondary rough was trouble but with fairly wide fairways you had to hit a pretty bad shot to find the deep rough. Greens were in very good condition with true rolls. The par six played like a long par five which for the low to mid handicaps was reachable in two long wood shots and a mid range iron. If you missed the fairway on your tee shot you will probably need four shots to get to the green.

Only negative was that course of play was a little slow. Might have had some rangers on course to monitor and assist those who were causing the round to go over 5 hours.

A good course to play with friends. Nice spread out course. Only course I have played which has a par 6 hole.

AFTER PLAYING THE LINKS FOR YEARS, I CAN SAY THIS COURSE IS MATURING. A WELL-MANTAINED COURSE THAT HAS SHORT BUT VERY THICK ROUGH. BALLS HIT JUST OFF THE FAIRWAY MAY NOT BE FOUND. I ALWAYS ENJOY PLAYING HERE.

Long course from the tips, but fun. The grass off the fairways is getting very thick. There's plenty of room to stray, but you pay the price. Nice big undulating greens that roll very true. A fun course, but a real challange.

The course was a very nice course the primary rough was a little to thick more like secondary. it was a little windy on the day of play which made the course even more difficult. overall enjoyed the day and was well worth the golf now price.

Cherry creek could be a great bargain for the price, decent layout, very nice grounds. However, we encountered a very green but not maintained course. The greens were so long they were like putting on fairways. The fairways were as long as the first cut in a normal course. And the rough was absurd. On just about every hole there was no first cut in the fairway and if you were 2 inches off the fairway the rough was 4 to 6 inches. RIDICULOUSLY DIFFICULT !
Evidently they have trouble getting folks to work there since we talked to a ranger about the conditions and he said they asked him if he would be interested in cutting the fairways ....amazing....so play if if you want to add 10 strokes to your average....
