Eagle Creek Golf Course

About
Situated between Clackamas and Estacada, Eagle Creek Golf Club offers one of the best values in the area. Its location also provides scenic views across the swale of the old Oregon Trail with Mt. Hood as a backdrop on many of the holes. The course was carefully carved from mature forests of fir, oak, and cedar trees. The beautiful natural landscape remained as untouched as possible, which is why you'll most likely catch a glimpse of the abundant wildlife that inhabits the golf course. At 6,263 yards from the back tees, the course plays fairly short but there are still plenty of challenges in store. Water hazards come into play frequently and the tall trees lining the fairways demand accuracy. One of the toughest holes on the course is Eagle Creek Golf Club's par-4 ninth, which features two parallel streams passing through the fairway.

Great Value, friendly staff
Course was in nice shape, and it was a beautiful day to walk. I had not played there in a few years, and found the course to be a nice challenge for my skill level. I do wish that there was a picture of the hole layout at the tee box. I relied on the gps version on my phone with the GolfNow app. I played the blue tees and am a decent hitter, and found it to be a nice challenge for length. I would play here again, great value, nice course !
Could be a great course...
The courses rates used to be a little lower than the other courses in the area. This I thought was fair since they do not have a driving range to warm up on. There is no bar or food. They also only had a partial set of rental clubs for my buddy. No driver/no wedge. This can be a fun course to play that I have enjoyed in the past. But, since I can play other nicer courses for the same money-I won't be playing here. This will change if there is a small adjustment to their rates, a full set of rental clubs available.
Another day in paradise
Another great day at Eagle Creek. Not your country club, but a fun layout that is well kept. Greens are always very good, although tee boxes could use some work. Two very nice ladies on staff to serve us.
Good deal
Course condition was very good. Greens are excellent. Pace of play only draw back. They allowed a fivesome ahead of us and they were slow. Overall OK will play again.
Better than in the past
We hadn't played there in about six or seven years. Many improvements. We will be back!
Farm to table
Great course for the money, kinda out of the way but I think that is part of the appeal. Trees present lots of challenging shot selections, greens roll better than you expect, and a great view of the surrounding farms. Definitely worth a look.
Mother's Day golf
Got husband to take me out for a round on Mother's Day before dinner with our son. Few people out on Mother's Day. Felt like course was ours. Took time and still finished in four hours. Love this course out in country.
Great value!
Friendly staff. Excellent price. Great course for the whole family.
fantastic value
Beautiful course. Starts out with extra wide fairways but finishes with challenging narrow corridors. Plays tougher than its rated slope.
Best value per green fee than I have ever seen.
If you are looking just to look, there are deer, coyote, possum, and several species of birds galore.
This is a charming and wonderful course.
We would go back. In a heartbeat.
Eagle Creek
Tougher than its rating. Slow greens. A few hole that need adjustment. 5 is silly- could be set up as par 4 better. 7 could be made a 5 easily. 18 needs trees taken out- it is almost unplayable depending on the tee box setup. I like it here cuz it's close, it's reasonable, and it's easy to get on.
Poorly managed
Showed up for my tee time only to discover there were no carts available. Waited over an hour & a half watching groups of 8 players taking 20 plus minutes to finish a hole. I was told my cart would be comp'd however, they charged me for it anyway.
Wide open course
Most of the holes were wide open and the fairways were very dry and hard. The greens were in good shape.
Golf in the Country
Had a great day with friends at EC! The greens were in great shape. Fairways a little dry but balls rolled great.
Outstanding value
What I love about Eagle Creek is the quiet and beauty. There are more large Oak trees here than anywhere in Oregon. We say rabbits, deer, a coyote, and eagles in one round. The course itself is ok, fairways green, the greens were overly watered and spongy, but in good shape otherwise.
It's not a manicured place; it's a farm course, but if you like that you will love this course. A great value offered on Golf now, and they have an $18 twilight rate if you play direct.
Fun course
Not long, though, will test your shot making. Used every club in the bag today. Greens are mostly on the smallish side, well groomed, & hold long irons well. This course has character & is fun to play.
Casual golf on a Monday
We chose to play here at the last minute and got a good deal from GolfNow. It wasn't crowded so golf was casual. The front nine is very open, but the back nine meanders through the trees. The greens were well groomed with some interesting (challenging) putts. Particularly enjoyed holes 9, 12 and 13,
nice time in the country
This course is starting to really come together on the back nine which is newer then the front, great views, easy walk, no waiting which I like and the place is quiet...deer walking around on the course make this place special...
Beautiful surroundings
For the money it was a nice course. Greens were a little bumpy. Course is still a work in progress.
