Bad
The holes are spaced 60-80 yards apart. Photos are not at all what the holes look like. Almost all the grass is dead (Tee Box and Greens) greens are extremely shaggy
Eagle Lansing golf course
My. Husband wanted to try a new course. We were very disappointed. The setting is pretty but the course is very poorly maintained. Some greens are not even green but overgrown burned grass. We will not be back.
Pitch & putt
Good for pitch & putt. Very short fairways that had tall grass & lots of clippings. Greens pretty rough.
Staff super nice.
good course to work on your short game
My wife picked out this course (I believe it was based on price and nothing else) to play. I was hoping for something with more yardage so I could try out my new driver. I do not believe we played any hole with yardage over 90 yards. So I got in alot of practice with my wedge.
When we checked in, the lady at the desk started explaining how the grounds team was working on the course and we could not play all the holes, so she would give us a discount. Since we had prepaid, we received 2 passes for a round of golf. The greens were covered in sand and not yet watered to complete the aeration. That made puts a little tougher then they should have been. There were piles of grass from the lawn mower, that were not picked up yet. So I think we both lost a ball or 2 in the piles of grass. It was a little disappointing to see the course not quit ready for play. But we were there for a date while the kids where in school, so it was ok.
They are in the middle of doing some upgrades. A new restaurant. Looked like the outdoor firepit area was getting some work. A new pro shop is in the works. They are spending some money to upgrade and add amenities. I am looking forward to going back and playing another round.
Very short holes
Very short holes. All the greens are pretty much sand right now.
Blah
Went to play golf.... Disappointed in the lack of care that is given to this course. I would recommend saving your money and playing Edgefield chip and put. Eagle landing seems to have cared more about their put put course rather than what got them into the golf business. First time coming back in over 5 years and I can truly say, it has gone down hill. On a positive note the staff are incredibly helpful and informative. Great customer service!!
water
greens need to be water better, a lot of them were brown not green. tee boxes need to be on far back setup to make course a little more challlenge.
Fairways were soggy and muddy
Went to play not knowing greens were recently aerated and the fairways were soggy/muddy.
Excellent course to work on your lob wedge and 56 degree wedge.
It's a Par 3 - what do you expect?
I only played the "South 9". Look forward to checking out the "North 20". Showed up a hour before sunset with my "new" Sunday bag - my 8 iron, SW, and putter. Didn't tee the ball so I could work on my short game. It was fun. When I was done I sat in a lounge chair by the course and drank a cold one. It is just what it says it is. Good practice for me and everything I expected and hope for. I'll be back next time the wife wants to go to the mall.
Lame!
This course if for wedding goers. Ok for short game but not a "real golf course" - more like mini golf. No carts, could not even do a full swing.....good if you are only up for practicing chipping & putting. Leave your other clubs at home....only need pitching wedge, sand wedge and putter. Won't be back....the grass was over a foot tall in the rough areas.....and sewer smell around hole 8. Not worth the cheap fee. Only positive, no one else in front of us or behind....no wonder. bet they sucker you once and no one returns.
Truly Chip and Putt
I'd never played at Eagle Landing before and was expecting more of an executive par 3. I think the longest hole was only about 80 yards. I need work on my short game so it was fine, but my sand wedge was more club than I needed. Course was in pretty good shape and greens were good.
Fun pitch and putt
Eagle landing is a pitch and putt, but there are some fun really fun holes (lots of elevation changes, hitting up/down, etc.). Yardages ranges from maybe 40 yards to 90 yards. Nice sand traps and grass was well watered. Greens were in decent condition given the current drought, but there were a couple tee boxes that were pretty burnt out.
Almost nobody else was out when I went (early afternoon).
Great course!
Always the most friendly! Especially David. He was mowing, but stopped to help me out. Thanks a lot!
it was a pretty good par 3 course
I enjoyed playing par 3 course, but i do like a regular course alot better. I did golf here once in awhile before
Nice inexpensive par 3
Lush green course can be very soggy in places - some overwatering in places. Too many holes were in the 50 yd range - prefer a better variety of distances.
