Off the beaten path, but worth a look.
Ive played here a half dozen times over the last 5 years. I notice improvements everytime I'm there. This course is on top of a mountain. Takes a few minutes to get there, but the views are worth it. Some of the stonework on the course is incredible. Course was in pretty good shape. It's a somewhat easier course layout. Mostly forgiving being wide open through a lot of the course. This is a relaxing course. There are no horribly long shots, or forced carries over 200 yards of swamp. Go here to enjoy yourself instead of frustrating yourself. The bar restaurant has beautiful woodwork, and the food isnt bad at all. If you're in that neck of the woods, it's worth a round.
course has ok layout horrible shape

Spectacular Views Average Course
The surrounding views off the first tee are awesome and some of the best in the Catskills. The course routing itself is straightforward. While there are a few doglegs, most holes are straight. A majority of the back nine have pararell fairways. The standout hole is the par 5 12th, a dogleg par 5 to a challenging downhill lie approah to a green guarded by a pond in front and sand trapsleft and back. They are upgrading the downhill 14th with a more difficult approach to in similar fashion to th 12th hole. I do reccommend the course as beginner friendly as the course is generally wide open, but a few narrow fairways will keep you honest. While preseason, the greens were still in rough shape and the bunkers have rocks in them. With bad greens I dont think the nearly $50 green fee makes this a good buy.
