About
Oregon City Golf Club was originally built in 1922 as a nine-hole course. In 1960, the second nine was added bringing the total yardage to 5,940. It had no sand traps but did contain plenty of trees and rolling fairways.
Today, the course has been updated with sand traps on most holes, water on three, and the same rolling fairways and trees that have grown significantly larger. The drainage is excellent which makes it an outstanding winter course. A new clubhouse was completed in 1997 which provides all the amenities a golfer could need; including a fully stocked pro-shop, snack bar, 2,400 ft. banquet facility, putting green, and a large outside deck for your pre or post round refreshments.

A Pleasant Surprise
I used to play this course frequently 25 to 35 years ago and it has changed drastically since. The trees have grown, tightening up the now green fairways. The greens are some of the best conditioned greens I’ve played this year. It was a very pleasant experience, the pace of play perfect, and the staff very friendly. All in all they have improved this course immensely.

Early bird and conditions have been great for three weeks in a row. Best little hidden gem. Shhhhhhg! Don’t tell anybody.

Have liked the course.
This was the slowest time I have ever played it and hope if we play it again it’s better or it will be the last time.

Good time
First time to play here. A good course for a duffer like me. Not long but plenty of challenge for me. The other golfers were very friendly and good natured. We will come back.

Decent course
The fairways were not in decent shape especially since they were just mowed, lit was like hitting from the rough. The greens were in rough shape due to uneven and rough surfaces. Also they were very soggy and your feet would sink in. Staff were not friendly or accommodating either.

Classic Pacific Northwest golf
Finally got the chance to visit OCGC. This track has been on my want to play list for a while.
Gentlemen at the desk was very friendly and got me hooked up with cart and sent me out to explore. I found the layout quite interesting, You have got to control your tee shots to score well. Greens were well protected but held approach shots. The fairways were a bit shaggy due to the recent rains but I'm sure as soon as it drys out it will be cut tight.Looking forward to bringing a group out to enjoy this fun layout.

Always enjoy playing here
This laid back course is a good value. The staff (and fellow golfers) are friendly. The course condition is pretty good for early spring. Some of the par 4's are a bit short, but are still challenging if you are not hitting it straight. This is the first place I check when I am in town and looking for a round.

Diamond in the rough
I enjoy playing this course. We’re really spoiled in the Portland area with how many different types of courses we get to play. This course is not a lengthy over hazard challenge. What it offers is risk reward options on a lot of holes. While still maintaining playability for all levels of players. I’ve met great people here and shot some pretty good scores. It’s affordable and has one of the better Mt hood views on the 12th hole (on a clear day). Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Good time
Despite previous days of rain the course is well drained and very playable in the fairways, greens were a touch nappy and slow, balls tend to follow the micro ruts created by the carpet like naps, make for challenging putts. Otherwise a great course with lots of doglegs and trees to punish strayers, but scenery is rural, quiet and beautifully anchored by the majestic Mt Hood to the east, you just got to love it!

"DUCK"
I've been playing this course for probably 30 years. And I recently had an occasion to read some of the reviews. Frankly, the feed back must have been for a course other than the Oregon City Golf. I have found this course in the best of shape every time I have played. The ground crew do an outstanding job of maintaining the condition of the course mowing, fairways, greens, the short rough areas, and repairing ball marks on the greens. The traps are raked daily, as well. What I find offensive are those people that play this course, that fail to repair their ball marks, repair the fairway divots, and rake the trap after they have played their shot. I give this course high marks for its condition, overall. In addition, the pro shop staff are very courteous and helpful.

Great Park Style Course
Not the longest course but you need to hit it straight. Lots of pile trees, beautiful to look at, impossible to play through :) For March extremely well maintained, green were fast and true, fairways as good a steht can after a rainy NW winter. Friendly staff, friendly golfers:)

Good course some of the green was frozen otherwise is okay

Rough conditions
This course is in pretty rough condition. Greens were rock hard and balls bounced like basketballs ( it has been cold). With that all being said, I would still say it's worth $10 on the golf now app. However, do not pay full price you will be disappointed.
