Oregon City Golf Club
About
Oregon City Golf Club was originally built in 1922 as a nine-hole course. In 1960, the second nine was added bringing the total yardage to 5,940. It had no sand traps but did contain plenty of trees and rolling fairways.
Today, the course has been updated with sand traps on most holes, water on three, and the same rolling fairways and trees that have grown significantly larger. The drainage is excellent which makes it an outstanding winter course. A new clubhouse was completed in 1997 which provides all the amenities a golfer could need; including a fully stocked pro-shop, snack bar, 2,400 ft. banquet facility, putting green, and a large outside deck for your pre or post round refreshments.

Almost a hole in one! Photo submitted by burrellpalmer on 04/20/2020
Challenging but fair
Very nice course with a variety of options. Condition was great, greens rolled nice, but would not hold a shot with amateur spin. Course knowledge essential. Walked the course with 3 other first timers, but all had a great time.
Pretty course in great condition.
Very friendly staff, challenging and fun course, which was very pretty and also in great condition. Excellent price.
Fun course to play!
Lots of trees and trouble in the common misses, and the tree branches are pretty low to the ground, so it's best to take your medicine. Greens were rather slow, but in decent shape. And fairways had plenty of roll. Plenty of doglegs, so you need to place and shape lots of shots. Super fun course, will definitely be back!
Great Course!
This course is a "sleeper gem". The course is maintained very well . The owners and staff in the pro shop/snack bar are very customer friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this course for playing!
Greens were Very spongy. Fairways were full of weeds with white flowers making it hard to see the ball in the fairway. Not a winter or early spring course. I will try the course again in the summer.
Always a challenging course......
Especially when it's very wet, though drainage is decent similar to Stonecreek Golf Course not to far away. Grounds are very well kept throughout the year.
Always very Friendly and helpful the staff at O.C.G.
is great and will work with you to have an awesome
round.
As an avid northwestern year-around golfer O.C.G. is
a nearby fave for a quick practice round surrounded by trees tucked into the east-side hills that always tends to challenge your game.

A little disappointed
Normally, this time of year, I would expect the course to be a little soft from rain. I did find the fairways to be fairly solid, with some roll.
I was able to easily walk for 18 holes, with very little mud accumulating on my shoes.
Where I was disappointed was on the conditions of the greens and approaches.
On all of the greens, they felt like walking on a sponge. You could literally see foot print depressions in the green, and any chance of a pitch and run were negated by the fact that the approaches were soo soft. On one 160 yard par 3, I hit a 6 iron, and the ball plugged on the green. Half of the ball was below the surface of the green.
Oh well, lesson learned
Oregon City
Good winter course, old school, tree lined small greens. Enjoyed!
OCGC Fun!
We had lots of fun and only one other golfer on the course. Greens and fairways in great shape. We’ll be back soon!
I only play 2 holes because I got really sick
No sorry no refund
Was a waste of driving and spending the $46.00
Aerated greens... give it a couple weeks!
Disappointed in the staff who told me when I called that they aerated the greens a week ago but that they used small holes and that they were in great shape. NOT! They used LARGE holes and many of them are not filled in with sand. Consequently putting was difficult and will be for some time. For the price I paid ($20 to walk) on GolfNow, I would have gone elsewhere. I like the course itself, but the greens are the most important thing to me. Come back the end of October, if you get some good weather!
Fun course with very good pace of play
I very much enjoyed my round at Oregon City GC. It has a nice set up and can be enjoyed by golfers of all skill levels.
In a pinch. Great place to feel good about your score.
It's the kind of course where you can leave driver in the bag. Tight layout but short so accuracy is a premium. It had just rained hard and the greens were rolling great but there were already puddles forming on the collars. Target practice.
enjoyable
Paired up with a younger golfer. The fairways are in good condition, the rough is dry and hardpan. Greens are in good condition and a bit faster than expected. I will be playing OCGC again next Tuesday.
Poor Customer Service
One staff member makes playing at Oregon City Golf Club miserable. We have played there twice in the last year. Dealt with this same employee in the 'Pro Shop' both times. Absolutely no customer service and incredibly rude. He does not have any respect for customers and has an attitude like we are bothering him.
The first experience- we had originally paid for 9 holes with cart. The course was completely empty and we decided we wanted to play another 9. Not an exaggeration- course was completely empty on a Saturday afternoon. I spoke to this person in the 'Pro Shop.' He would not let us play for the additional $14/player that would have made it the regular 18 hole with cart price. We had to pay the same original 9 hole price with cart. On that day it costs us a total of $136 to play 18 holes with cart. $20+ more than it should have. I could get over it being incredibly overpriced; what I could not get over was his lack of respect and rudeness handling customers. It's actually fairly hard to put into words how disrespectful he was to my girlfriend and I.
This past weekend we played there again. Same as the first experience, the course was fairly empty on a holiday weekend. I think there was maybe 3-4 groups on the whole course. We played 18 holes in under 3 hours. My girlfriend asked this same gentleman about a replay rate. He gave her the same disrespectful and rude attitude he had given me during our last experience.
This is my first time leaving a review on any type of platform for any service. My girlfriend and I both enjoy this course and it's views. I would say, however, there has to be a correlation between the courses' customer service and lack of players. I hope, if anything, they will read this review and other reviews I have seen echoing that same sentiment and look to make positive changes.
Great place to relax
I hav played this course for years. The course continually makes positive changes to teens, tee boxes and pro shop. I brought three friends that had not played the course before. They found it challenging, well worth the green fees and requesting to come back.
Enjoyed my 4 hr round on a well maintained course.
Worth the drive from Portland
Great deal for the course. I was matched up with a friendly group and everyone at the course was friendly. Course was in pretty good shape with greens on the slower side yet consistent throughout the course. Made the 30 minute trip from Portland and would recommend the course to anyone. Not a super challenging course but you can't "grip it and rip it" on each hole. Will play again.
