Oregon City Golf Club
About
Oregon City Golf Club was originally built in 1922 as a nine-hole course. In 1960, the second nine was added bringing the total yardage to 5,940. It had no sand traps but did contain plenty of trees and rolling fairways.
Today, the course has been updated with sand traps on most holes, water on three, and the same rolling fairways and trees that have grown significantly larger. The drainage is excellent which makes it an outstanding winter course. A new clubhouse was completed in 1997 which provides all the amenities a golfer could need; including a fully stocked pro-shop, snack bar, 2,400 ft. banquet facility, putting green, and a large outside deck for your pre or post round refreshments.

Almost a hole in one! Photo submitted by burrellpalmer on 04/20/2020
Great condition
Purest greens I have seen this year! Firm and fast.
Tight course. Lots of waiting
Everyone there was very nice and they got us out quickly, before our tee time. Most of the holes are relatively long and bordered by trees on both side. If you miss fairways, you're going to be spending a fair amount of time in the trees (or other fairways). The holes are very close to one another. I mean two sets of tees or greens right next to each other on several holes. So after playing the front, the back nine seems like déjà vu.
Things were going ok until we hit number four the. Play virtually stopped. 5 to 10 minute waits on each tee. No marshalls in sight. It cleared up on 10 and was good for a few holes then we hit another big backup.
Overall a frustrating experience mostly due to waiting and proximity of other players.
Great, challenging course
Overall, I shot a 79. It's a nice course with a few challenging holes. Course is well taken care of.
Cool Course
Played here this past weekend. It rained on us but the fairways were in great shape. The people were nice and we played in just under 4 hours. We had a two-some in front of us that were slow but overall a cool play to play. I will say that a couple of the dog leg left's were very interesting. I've never seen such a dogleg that steep, but made it fun. Would definitely play here again when dry.
Great Day for Golfing
I have to say the course is fun to play! I really enjoy the 14th hole. My first time p laying the par 3 139 yard hole was brutal however my last two time playing it I was with in inched of a hole-in-one....Maybe next time!
Nice Course
Great course for the money! You can usually walk on any time and it's not crowded. I like that it doesn't have that stuffy "Country Club" feel and patrons. Course itself could use some work. But all in all its a good course for the money!
Oregon City, Apr 3, 2015
The starter was very friendly, as were all the staff. He put us on the back 9 to avoid being behind a known slow 4some. Rain began after less than an hour, so we only played 9 holes.
Fairways and greens were in good shape. The course isn't long, but lots of trees and brush make hitting it straight a plus.
Beautiful Day in Oregon City
It was a 70 degree day, excellent course, cordial staff, and we played well. We played at 1:00 p.m., very few golfers at that time. I recommend playing in the middle of the day, if possible. No wait, friendly and professional environment with senior discounts. We plan to play here often from now on!
Oregon. City upkeep
Course just st needs a little TLC. NO yardAge markers
difficult play
I have played this course several times and find it a good course. Except it was difficult to play this time due to lack of restrooms on the course. Not fun to play with a full bladder and my wife was really struggling. Will not play again until I know they have brought the port a potties back. Sad when a course cannot spare the expense to add to the comfort of a round of golf. will not recommend until there are port a potties.
average course in good shape
priced right....easy tee times...great sand traps.
Good
Good course. Long par 5's. Some of the greens were bad shape. Hard to get good roll on ball. Nice clubhouse and staff. I wouldn't drop 40.00 there to play but I'd pay golf now prices.
Better drainage on the greens and around the greens
Great course to be playing during the winter months
winter golf
With as much rain that we had so far,I was surprised how nice the fairways are. The greens were very soft and most of them were completely water logged. But for the money it was ok.
I like this course every once in a while for the challenge. With all the trees your tee shot is key to making par. I will be back.
This course is very pretty and moderatly challenging.
I really like Oregon city golf course, the only thing that really needs attention are some of the greens are to soft so not a true sufice for putting, very bumpy.
Other wise very nice course.
Poor GolfNow email confirmation routine
I have not play the 10/27 round yet. My comment about the Rose City Golf was based on my many rounds played here. I have no problem with the course.
But I do have problems with GolfNow.com online service:
1. I did not get instant email confirmation of teetime. In this day and age, it is part of the norm.
2. When I forward the tee-time confirmation shown on my iphone to my friends, it did not show the time nor the cost for us to split. My friends had to call me to find out the time.
Bill
I likd the course somewhat
I enjoyed playing there as well as other course I play at.I do have other course i do like better, but thios one was okay to play
100% improvement from the 70's
It was nice to play a very good golf course at an affordable price. My wife and I are newly retired and the cost on golf courses are unaffordable and now you created a monster, she wants to play everyday since she is playing good. Thank you Oregon City country club, I'll be back.
Highly Disappointed
I expected a nice course for my wife and I to play together. What I received was major frustration. I have never played on greens that were as spongy and soft as these. Furthermore, you literally could NOT roll the putts. They bounced and swerved left and right. Not a good place to play if putting is something you're working on. Additionally, the layout was VERY odd. Hole #2 had a MAJOR dogleg right after only about 60 yards off the tee. Who hits power fades like that??!! Then, there are 2 par 5s that require you to hit the ball 280 or 290 to reach the dogleg. I could not tell who this course catered to. The good or bad golfer? At one point I sad to my wife I expected to see windmills in the fairways. I will NOT play again unless the greens change and roll truer. Simple as that. I can put up with holes that were created yesteryear well before golf was serious but greens that don't roll are unacceptable.
