slow
12 members were allowed out in front of us at our planned tee time. player badly and wouldn't let is play thru. nave coming back
had planned to buy clubs here today. not now.
Ok for the money
Course has a fun holes and some you have to play smart of the tee or layup to creeks, unfortunately green were being aerating the greens other than that good course for the money.
greens true and smooth roll
Course in good condition, despite area drought conditions. Greens rolled for true reads.
Good value
Chili CC is a good value for $25 or so with a cart. Overall the course is in good shape-fairways are not bad and the greens are in great shape. The only minor complaint would be the tee boxes-they could use an overhaul.
Good course for the $$$, has some challenging holes but suitable for any skill level.
Nice new find
Looking for somewhere new to play and found this course on GolfNow.com. Got the "Hot Deal" so the price was great and the course was not a disappointment. Though my wife and I are fairly novice golfers the course was very playable for I think all levels and was in good shape considering how dry the weather has been here lately. Nice "19th hole" and friendly staff made for an overall enjoyable stop. I'm sure we will visit them again in the near future.
Busy day, Course had a tournament.
It was very slow due to a tournament. Didn't know there was a tournament going on otherwise I would have not booked it on golfnow.com Greens looked nice, however nobody fixed the divits on the green. I blamed it on the tournament players. For the money, can't complain too much.
Good conditions, awful pace of play
Greens were in great shape, esp with the lack of rain.Only issue was we teed off at 545 and only finished 9 holes by 830.Saw a lot of inexperienced golfers and no one let others play through. Not the golf course fault, but dont book under 18 holes cause there's no way you finish, esp behind the leagues.
Good Course
It is a very nice golf course, I would play it again.
Enjoyable Round
My friend and I enjoyed our round, although it was a very windy day. We intended to play 18, but had to stop after nine due to a work emergency my partner had. Nice Pro Shop, and a very friendly staff. We will return. Women-friendly course.
nice course
enjoyable course with nice layout and course conditions.
Great Value
Good course for the money. Not in perfect conditions but not bad at all.
chili country club
Course was in very good shape. rough was a little long for my likeing but it made it more of a challenge to stay in the fairways. Had my grandson and we enjoyed ourselves. tks to golf now I can afford to take him golfing.
great price for a decent course
staff was extremely friendly and actually had a marshal out asking if we were good with pace of play and the group ahead of us. greens were in excellent shape, course was very well maintained but the front 9 fairways were in need of some serious repair on a few holes. for the price and the good staff would definitely play again.
A fun course
My wife and I went out to play 9 holes here and were pleased with the overall experience. Greens rolled true and were in great shape. The fairways had some seeding going on, but it didn't really affect play. Tee boxes could use some work as they were chewed up and mostly uneven. My wife only plays a few times a year and she found the course not overly challenging. Very few bunkers to worry about. Some water to carry at times and doglegs that make shot selection a premium. Pace of play was a bit slower than your average 2 hour 9. (we finished in 2:30) but we weren't pushed by anyone and although we waited a minute or two for the groups ahead, it was a nice enough day to enjoy.
Golf now deal was 15 for 9 each, which is more expensive then their hot deal of $10 for 18 later in the day which is weird, but whatever. We will return.
A good test
You will find this course difficult overall from back tees. From the proper tee for your ability it is a fun play
Nice Course, Poor Planning
Second time at Chili Country Club and the course is well maintained with a variety of holes. However, there was a tournament happening, so the pace of play was absolutely horrendous. If Chili is going to allow open tee times during tournament play, they need to do a better job of managing the pace of play. At the very least, make players aware of the fact that they will be playing in the middle of a tournament, prior to booking would be nice but not sure how feasible that is. I will definitely play Chili County Club again, but will be sure to call ahead to make sure there is not a tournament happening that day.
very good value
course was in very good shape. greens quick, but true read. lots of trees, wide fairways on most . fair course for all type golfers
Friendly
There is never a time when you play this course that the staff isn't friendly and accommodating. Vince always make you feel welcome and does whatever he needs to in order to make your round enjoyable. it is a great course for the cost.
Good Afternoon, I'm sorry that you did not enjoy your time at Chili Country Club the other day. The group of gentlemen that played in front of you had tee times just like you. They usually start at 11:30am and are off the tee by 11:55am at the latest. Due to the beautiful day the course was extremely busy, there was 5 open tee times from 8am - Noon (when you teed off). So the tee was backed up and running a little behind the whole day. Remember, we did go out and try to sneak you off the back to make your round a little quicker and more enjoyable for you (since you were a two-some) but that was not possible due to the course being so busy. With the course being so busy my group, (yes, I played directly in front of you and heard you cussing every single tee that you couldn't believe that we were still in the way), saw that letting you play through would not do anything for you or the pace of play since all it would have done is just make us roll up to the tee on every hole with you guys still standing there waiting to hit (we wouldn't of cussed though, only difference). My group played in 4:30 hours on a 70 degree day in October with a full course in front of us. I am not to sure where you normally play but almost every golf course I know would be ecstatic with their course running at a 4:30 hour pace on a very busy day. I suggest you find two more people to play with you , if you can, it will allow you to play at the pace the rest of the course is playing at.
