About
McNary Golf Club is located on the site that once was the homestead of Charles McNary (1874-1944), prominent Oregon Congressman, lawyer, and vice-presidential running mate of Wendell Willkie. Since he was an ardent golfer, it is appropriate that this course was named in his honor at its opening in 1962. The course was developed by Jim Sill who wanted to build an enjoyable course for the average golfer. Initially, the McNary home was used as the clubhouse. Today, modern clubhouse facilities, including the well known McNary Restaurant & Lounge, overlook the course. All the necessary amenities are available. The golf course features lush fairways, spacious greens, and hazards that provide a challenge for all golfers. Claggett Creek comes into play on holes 1, 9, 10, and 18. The challenge and beauty of the course has also been augmented with several small lakes with fountains.

It was okay
It was okay, I wasn't that impressed! That stupid goose Patrol guy was out harassing the geese again.
Course conditions
The course was really dry fairways were good and the greens were nice I will be playing it again soon
Course was in great shape. Was dry as most courses are still kind of wet
Get this guy off the course!
There was some guy driving around in a golf cart. With goose Patrol sign on it. He was harassing the waterfowl out there and chasing them around. I noticed some of them had small chicks with them and he was harassing them. I am going to call the Department of Fish and Wildlife and report him. He has no right to be doing that since he does not work for the golf course! I have no respect for this guy because he drives on the fairways during the winter when it's cart path only. And destroys the fairways with his little golf cart. He will sit there and fish balls out of the ponds while you're trying to play. And he will drive up behind you and drive past you and distract you while you're playing. Get this guy off the golf course!
Goose Patrol guy
The guy that drives around with the goose Patrol on his golf cart. Interfere with play and his very disruptive. He is rude if he will drive through when you're playing a hole. I don't know why they let that guy in the course all he did was tear the fairways during the winter time.
Greens excellent
Greens in excellent shape...very fast for Feb!
Glad we had carts,,,long walk between holes
Nice course
Greens were nice, course was soggy overall so not much roll.
Always good at McNary
This is a great course overall. Greens are always fast and in excellent shape. My group had a blast! We definitely will be back again and highly recommended.
Well maintained course, but…
Pace of play was not managed well by the course marshal
Slow Play
Slow Play has always been a problem at McNary. No marshals to keep the pace of Play, moving.
