About
McNary Golf Club is located on the site that once was the homestead of Charles McNary (1874-1944), prominent Oregon Congressman, lawyer, and vice-presidential running mate of Wendell Willkie. Since he was an ardent golfer, it is appropriate that this course was named in his honor at its opening in 1962. The course was developed by Jim Sill who wanted to build an enjoyable course for the average golfer. Initially, the McNary home was used as the clubhouse. Today, modern clubhouse facilities, including the well known McNary Restaurant & Lounge, overlook the course. All the necessary amenities are available. The golf course features lush fairways, spacious greens, and hazards that provide a challenge for all golfers. Claggett Creek comes into play on holes 1, 9, 10, and 18. The challenge and beauty of the course has also been augmented with several small lakes with fountains.

Good condition
Overall good condition and great value for a hot deal. Not sure I would play this course for the regular price but it’s great for a golf now deal.. Greens rolled good.
Horrible staff
We bought 18 holes with a cart got half way thru the back nine an the old guy at the club house came screaming at us that we where playing to many holes. The disrespect was outta the world. I've grown up on a golf course my parents an my uncle own golf course an my sister is a professional golfer. So this is just crazy to me to get treated this way. The food was garbage at the club House the drinks where trash.. Ive played here many many times an I will never be back to this horrible excuse for a golf course.
Last 4 times out, haven’t been able to finish a round due to slow play. No marshals on the court. All ways back up on hole ten(4or5 groups).
Beautiful fast greens
Fast but challenging greens with several false fronts so be wary of hitting them on the front of the green.
Clean living
Keep it down the middle and you avoid the house lined holes. If you get in a yard the owners are nice enough to give it back but it may cost you slightly more than a stroke or 2😂

Around $60 for 18 and it’s worth it. I have played here for 8 years and it’s one of my favorites in the valley and Salem area.
Great day to play golf
Had a good time playing today. I hooked up with three gassing old guys. Course was good condition. Had a good time.
Amazing conditions! Fast greens!
Great course, very fun layout! Amazing conditions especially for the time of year. This course is playable all year round. Our group was able to drive power carts on the whole course, but a few fairways that were in progress of being manicured to golfing perfection. Greens roll very true and fast. I would highly recommend McNary for any golf outing.
Great Course!
Great course, fast greens. This course stays in great shape all year round. The layout is very fun. A little bit of a walk in between some holes through the neighborhood, but the course definitely makes up for that with character and overall conditions. Highly recommended.

Greens were exceptional
Course was in great shape, especially the greens! Larry got me checked in quickly and out on time. Paired up with a couple members at the turn and enjoyed a fun day. Good track.
