Good course for the money but has to improve on how they send groups out especially walkers on a weekend should not be allowed

Teed off before 9 but still really slow. Waiting on every shot during back nine. Good conditions. Slow greens. Okay layout.

I get to the course after saying I'd be a couple minutes late, turns out we were1 minute late. We hurry to Get to pro shop to check in where I had to wait 10 minutes for the dude behind the desk to stop having a conversation which made us even more late. The manager wearing a baby blue shirt comes in saying I was late in the most disrespectful way possible but it wasn't entirely my fault. I get to tee box where starter heckles me for being late and makes us start on the back 9 where we had to wait behind 4 drunk foursomes. Don't give this place your money PLEASE.

Beautiful course conditions along with super friendly staff. Checking counter, starter, and the cute lady driving the beverage cart were super friendly. No sign of short termper management today.

the course was excellent except for the 10th hole , which has been that way forever.

We drove from North Jersey here, about an hour away, to play at this course. We had a tee time around 11am, showed up at 10:45, and were greeted by SIXTEEN golf carts waiting at the first tee.

We went inside and the rude, older lady gave us an attitude, said she wont check us in yet, and has no idea how long itll be. We couldnt believe we had a tee time, and there were sixteen golf carts waiting to tee off. It is absurd to me that you could just allow every walk on to come play, when people pay fees for tee times, and if this is not the case that you allow walk ons, please stop overbooking tee times.

Any way we told this woman that we are leaving because we didnt want to sit around an hour and a half to tee off, she gave us attitude about how its our job to contact golfnow then and whatever. We got in our car, got a tee time at south shore, and walked right on when we got there. The fact two courses are handled so differently, speaks volumes about management. Cant say Ill ever come here, when south shore and La Tourette are much smoother. Thanks for wasting our 8$ in fees and 20$+ in tolls and gas.

No course manager with attitude, beautiful day, conditions, and weather. Scored a afternoon tee time after work on golfnow.com, what's there not to like?

Very good greens. Top notch. Super helpful staff. Particularly, the starter was a gent with an excellent attitude. Pace of play a little on the slow side, but weekend and nice weather, so what else to expect. We were two and got paired up so fine. Best local track within taxi distance from NYC, except Skyway (but only 9 holes) and the much more expensive Trump Links. Well done to the Silver Lake team - keep it moving and thanks foirt he complimentary ride back to the ferry.

Course was in great shape today. Had an afternoon round with friends during Memorial weekend and expected to be backed up. Finished the round in 4 hours 20 minutes playing with 2 female beginner golfers. If the course is run everyday like it was today, I would personally defend the negative talk this place gets. I also understand it gets the negative talk due to management.

Don't do it the golf course is not worth the tolls someone should have said it

Solid course, fair fees, well maintained and nice 19th hole veranda overlooking 1st and 10th tees.

I have been playing this course since I was little kid and it has never been in better shape. The greens are in terrific shape and are fast. The problem is every time I play there I have problems. My friend and I showed up early for our tee time that we had booked on golf now and the staff said we'll see if we can get you out we are have an outing. I thought that was the whole point of a tee time. We did get out and the front nine went smooth. When we got to the back nine they put high school players out in front of us. It took over three hours to play the back nine. Warning they will over book this course and a round may take six hours. We were lucky to finish in five hours.

Great feel great challenge especially for those still trying to learn! Maybe my sixth time going in the past year can't wait to go again

Beautiful course, close to get to from Manhattan. Pick-up shuttle is great service to guests who arrive with the Staten Island Ferry. The course is in very good condition and our round took only 4 hours. Had a nice dinner on the veranda, with view over the course and good food.

I love this course and have played it a number of times. Definitely my favorite course within a 45 min drive of me. This past week the front 9 was deathly slow! 2-3 groups waiting on par 4s to tee off!!! Back 9 was great but that's only bc 1/2 the field gave up and left after the front. Great for all of us who stuck it out. :-)

The greens were holotined so I gave condition 4/5.

I've played here many times the staff have always been extremely friendly.

I play as 1 and often meet great people as I join up with them. The course is not long however you have to think about each hole and a few are really challenging holes.

The pace of play has always been excellent. Best value for money on this course. I paid $27 on golf now including a cart. Beers are $4. Whether you are a low or high handicapper this course has something for everyone.

I haven't played too many but this is at the top of my short list. It was lush (except the greens were being aerated), it had a good variety of holes so shot making so you can play all your shots, and the burger was outstanding.

The staff was great as it had this real neighborhoody, down to earth vibe. This place truly is the country club the working man.

5 1/2 hour round of golf and this is an easy course. Nobody keeping the pace of play up. There aren't any rules on this golf course. Tee times are meaningless here. The course itself is fine and would be pretty enjoyable if it wasn't an all day event. It is insane how long it takes to play 18 here. Avoid at all costs.

Was a very fun course, I played in the middle of February in the course still looked very well maintained for the amount of traffic it gets. Pace of play was understandably slow, however it's unfair to consider that a big drawback when you are playing in New York City with so many people and so few courses around the city. Overall it was one of the best courses I've played in the area, I will absolutely be back regularly.
