South Shore Golf Course

Overall good day. Glad the 2-3 greens that were unplayable earlier in the season have been fixed but the bunkers are atrocious they are not sand it’s hard clay.

The course is a lot better greens have improved 100% from last year rough could be shorty to improve fast play

I had a very enjoyable round at this golf course. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived, which set the tone for a great day. The course conditions were good overall, with well-maintained fairways and greens that played true.

The layout is enjoyable and offers a nice mix of holes that keep the round interesting without being overly challenging. Pace of play was fair, allowing us to move around the course comfortably without significant delays.

Overall, it’s a well-kept course with a great atmosphere, friendly service, and an enjoyable layout. I would definitely return and recommend it to others looking for a pleasant day of golf.

I haven’t seen this course in this good of condition in a long time! Now hopefully get some real sand in the traps.

Tee boxes were not in great shape, the rest of the course was good and the greens were great.

Have played this course a few hundred rounds, course conditions were amazing, greens smooth as silk. Pace of play a bit if an issue, teed off late as they do t have enough carts. The only major improvement needed is the cart paths, pretty much all 18 holes serious repair. Or better yet total replacement. Grill food is more than adequate.

Been playing here for over 20 years, my favorite course on SI. now that the 11th 12th and 14th Green are open the greens are incredible. Best I’ve seen them in years. Fairways are great too. Most of the white tee boxes are worn out. Using GolfNow pass + prices are great.

In past years the course was in a bit of disarray. Since new management has taken over, the course overall, has been very well taken care of and improved. Underbrush has been cleaned and removed, fairways a thick and full and the greens are in excellent condition. I've been playing this course for over 30 years and I haven't seen it in such fantastic shape.

They have done an awesome job of redoing the greens and fixing the bunkers. This 2026 is going to be a great year at south shore. Great job !!!

Finally opened up greens on 12 and 14. Green on 11 is great. What a turnaround. Most of the The white tee boxes have virtually no grass. Fairways are very good too

Been playing here for over 20 years. Played here a few weeks ago and the greens and fairways are great. Much improved. Yesterday I played on a Friday so the greens on 12 and 14 have temps. I heard they’re open on the weekends. Having Golfpass + helps with costs. Definitely worth it with reduced fees. As always, there’s no Rangers pushing slow players had a group of four teenagers in front of us probably first time playing, walking and they were all over the place, losing their phone. Etc.

Arrived early there was no weight teed off on time the course was in great shape played a round of eighteen holes on Staten Island in under four hours. Would definitely go back.

Some Greens are still closed! Over a year now

There is No need to charge full price for a round !

But they still do 🤷🏽‍♂️

Just picked up my new irons TM Qi max first time hitting them on course. They felt great. I shot a 87 first time hitting in the 80’s this was my goal with my fitting and new clubs only used the irons havnt picked up my 4 wood or wedges yet so excited to see what this season brings.
