Marine Park Golf Course

The course is nice and challenging, and it definitely needs some groundwork. The people are very friendly, but one thing I don’t like is that they won’t let you ride by yourself — to the point that they will have you wait just to pair you up with strangers. Personally, I like to play golf to relax my mind, enjoy the game, and listen to music. Being forced to share a cart can take away from the experience, especially when you’re just trying to unwind and enjoy your round peacefully while listening to your music

Good public course. Fairways in rough shape but early in the season.

White tees are 6500+ yards with four par 5 holes with two long par 4s.

Good outside served food at the turn and a nice bar for post game.

I’ll go again but make sure, if you’re a senior, to call for res and get a $15 discount.

The course is in pretty good shape. Most of the aeration holes are covered over and the fairways are in good shape. Some of the greens are still bouncy from aeration. Unfortunately we waited to hit on many holes due to the group in front of is playing a little slow. But that can not be blamed on the course. They start us 10 min apart which is not bad.

Happily recommend, but would love better grounds all around. Lots of patches, and 'acned' scraggly spots all over the whole course, including some greens. Overall, love the layout, vibe, staff, and practice areas.

Marine park has gotten so much better over the years. I started playing here in 2001 when it was a flat dust bowl. Now it has a lake and hills. It is a million times better. Great job to the grounds guys.

Greats course and Mike is the best goif course GM in newyork city

The course was open front nine only, due to snowy fairways. I needed a fix and played anyway. So no complaints.

I was excited to go there and play for the first time after all it was the course that was nearest to my house. Little did I expect that there would be 12.2 billion geese around. When you didn’t see them, you saw all the evidence of their existence around in every part of the ground. There were mounds and mounds of geese bowel movements which really jammed up your clubs. The good point was that it made my girlfriend a better player because she was able to make her balls, dodge the piles, unlike mine and that it was hard so it didn’t smell or stick that badly to your shoes or clubs. Overall, if there was a way to clean up all of the geese mess, it will be a good course. A lot of par 4s and 5s. I know that no one can control where the geese hang out and they appear to be quite accustomed to golfing going on around and through them because they moved to the side to let us through. They were squawking back and forth every now and then to let us know what was going on or at least where our balls went and they didn’t sit on them thinking they were eggs so it was a good day. The staff were quite friendly, but it would be nice if they had a snack vending machine instead of just beverages. Cart rental prices were $20/person which is basically what I’m coming across at a lot of of the courses and they even had the walking carts for carry your bags for $10. It just would’ve been nice if the cart path were maintained because they were mostly weather-beaten and broken down due to use. I like the fact that you can walk in off the street and get a tee time, if any are available, so that’s nice.

Great course with chipping area and separate putting green and driving range for irons.
