Great Course, layout, condition, club house, restaurant. No complaints. Everything would have gotten five stars with a little additional water added here and there and a bigger selection of at the turn food, but the hot dogs were awesome.
We had an enjoyable round of golf. We had dinner after the round and the service and food was fantastic.
Great shape. Rough was DEEP!!
Not a very busy day and the weather was great. Fairways and greens were in great shape. Tee boxes need some help. Overall the course looks great!
Golfing on Friday morning
Played behind a slow threesome. Had to wait for them on many holes. This is on a Friday morning. Can't imagine on the weekend. Other than that, everything is good.
Lack of Customer Service Skills
We play this course several times each year because it has a great layout. Lately we have noticed a decline in customer service at both the restaurant and pro shop. Even though many businesses are seeing challenges with hiring quality people because of the pandemic, I don't believe this is the case for Mayapple, this is more about attitude.
Today, we experienced a case of slow play which is typical at Mayapple, but today was the worst since we seen two and three groups backed up on the tee boxes. When we were on the 6th hole I called the pro shop for assistance and they took my name and said okay. We continued to play the front nine at a slow pace. On #11 I called again because we continued to see tee boxes backed up and I decided to call again and the pro shop again asked my name and when I told them he mumbled something and lay the phone receiver down on the counter and never picked it back up. So I called back and got the same response. So the fourth time the man treated me like I was a problem and finally told he had nobody to send out which would have been useful information to first time I called. Then he begin to tell me that he had all my info and would report me to Golf Pass.
Just an all around bad experience. The slow play was bad enough but if the pro shop had customer skills instead of an arrogant attitude they could have deescalated the situation.
Course in good shape
Course is in as good of shape as I have seen it. Greens are full except a few and fairways are lush.

Course filling in nicely. Greens were firm and hard to hold but in pretty good shape.
