Located just south of Allentown, Pa., Locust Valley Golf Course is less than hour from Philadelphia and the Poconos and only 15 minutes from the New Jersey border. The course is player friendly enough for high handicappers to approach with confidence but there are a few challenges in store as well. The 6,504-yard layout is a manageable length but there are still a few holes that will test your distance. The terrain is mostly flat though there are a few subtle contours that can be tricky. The fairways have a lot of variation with some that are wide and forgiving and others that are tighter and demand greater accuracy. You'll also have to watch out for the occasional water hazard. Locust Valley is not the most challenging golf course in the area, but it's one of the best values you'll find in town.

Great course.
This course was great. Open fairways but but some trees lining the edges making it challenging. Holes were a good distance and green locations were generally surrounded by bunkers making it challenging for approach shots. Fairways and greens were in great condition. It rained a lot the previous day but drainage was great and greens were a good speed.
Fun and a little challenging
Definitely a fun course that I will frequent some more, somewhat tight fairways but nearly All holes are fairly straight on but a beautiful course.
Hidden gem
This is a hidden gem In Cooper's burgh and it's a shame that they are closing this course to build houses the course that I love playing everybody would love playing as challenging holes for all groups are a handicaps
I'm Alright
About 1/3 of the course is really cool , and worth the trip. The rest of course I found pretty easy and wude open. This course will improve your scores if you hit the ball straight.

Greens are in great condition and the staff was friendly. Always a great time golfing here!
Disappointed
No one on course to keep things moving. Wasnt packed on a tuesday. Left after 9.
Overall Experience
Have a starter or don’t let douchebags play that think their on the PGA Tour at 4:30pm on a work week. We go out to have fun not be harassed. Pace of play was slow because of people in front of us.

Still worth playing
It’s always been a challenging layout with well protected greens, bunkers. The undulating greens are in nice condition with decent speed. Course conditions are okay but a little rough around the edges, weeds, clover.
Overall still a fun and challenging course to play and glad it’s back for another year!
Dog track
Wow. Dog track!! The people who think this is a good golf course must not get out much. The greens were bumpy and rolled at about a 7! Plus it was a long round. I will never go back.

Fairways bad greens good
Fairways not in the best best condition; pace of play was even worse, resulting in many balls landing and almost hitting me from everywhere. Safety out the window.

Bring a Helmet and a Megaphone
If you luv playing 5 1/2 +++ hr round then this is the course for U. Golfers who should be on the range practicing are all here, a 2 some in front of us and another in front of that group were literally hitting 80 yds every shot. I really wouldn't care, but those 80yds shots were going left and right. We were in the Tee box multiple times, about to hit up and All of a sudden golf cart shows up in the middle of the fairway from the adjacent hole !! Then to top it off, we almost got hit by a golf ball 5 times!!!! As u r riding or walking to ur ball we hear Fore... I lost count of how many times we heard people yelling Fore... No rangers on the course.. it's everyone for themselves.... it's worst then your local muni course.... I wouldn't play here if it's the only course open in PA. SAVE your money and find a better course, which shouldn't be hard.
