Decent course
Good value. Course does hold water with what is must likely a clay based soil. Greens where pretty true but slow. I will return there again.
Great design
The course is fantastic. Found a hot deal at 7:50am while visiting family in Erie. Played in just under 3 hours even having cart path only in effect due to the previous days rain. The course has a good mix of short and long holes, excellent bunkering, and green complexes. I can't say enough about the quality of the design and layout, it's just really well done. Greens were nearly perfect.
I think Thomas Ault and associates designed the course, but the crew at north hills keeps it in great shape.
I wish there was a course of this quality for similar cost near me. I'll definitely be back.
Hidden Gem!
Newer to area, and wanted to show an out of state friend the excellent golf in the area. Read terrific things about North Hills, and couldn’t have been more impressed. For a municipal course, the upkeep and challenge are more reminiscent of a private club. Staff couldn’t be friendlier. Challenging course with hills and bends - not a lot of water hazards etc.
Couldn’t recommend this course enough, especially for the price. Will be back.
Just Beautiful!
The scenery is beautiful and conditions of the greens and fairways are in excellent condition. The staff are very nice people. And I would definitely make this golf course my regular spot to play when in town.
HIDDEN GEM
Great course. If I lived closer I would make this my hone course. Staff was really supportive and marshals kept the pace of play good.
One of the best in area
I love this course. If I lived closer, I would just get a membership Fast and smooth greens. Course in great condition. Challenging par 3s.
Hidden Gem
North Hills is by far the best value in all of northwestern Pennsylvania! Greens roll pure all year, course layout provides challenges along with holes made for scoring, and the staff is outstanding!
Ron, who runs the pro shop, was kind enough to supply our groups with closest to the pin and long drive markers! In just one year, Ron has greatly improved all pro shop amenities including adding Nike Dri-Fit hats! My only complaint is I cannot play the course everyday!
Nice little course
A good value course for the price of less than $30 for 18. Beautiful area and secluded. I would play again when in the area.
One of the best courses around
A public course with lush fairways and smooth rolling greens.
Super Day-
Tee time 7:26 AM, 2nd group out, no holdups, greens and fairways in excellent condition. Betsy in the clubhouse very informative, courteous, and a pleasant person handling the registration process. Great rate, and a fair course to score. Will be back, even a 35 mile drive not a problem. A quiet gem on the northwest border of PA/NY. Keep up the good work. PMB
Would play again
