Course Playing in Mid-Season Form
We had an excellent time playing the Rich Maiden Golf Course despite the chilly day and a little rain shower. The putting surfaces continue to be in excellent shape and surprisingly fast. The fairways were quite good too. A few temporary tee boxes were in use to allow the regular tee boxes to get ready for the new season. Overall, we had a great outing!
Greens Running True
Rich Maiden continues to provide an excellent value especially since it is in excellent shape during the winter months. The pace of play was very, very good.
Greens Running True
Rich Maiden is always a golf course in good condition. The greens run fast but are quite fair. You never want to be on the high side of the green when putting. The fairways were in very good condition for early March. A few holes had you using tee boxes that protected the real tee boxes for when grass starts to grow which is fine. Overall, very good course and a great value. The pace of play was excellent.
Good condition for mid-winter
Although a relatively short course, Rich Maiden does feature some longish par 5's which make the course challenging. The golf course was in very good condition considering it was still winter and the greens were fast but true. Definitely a fair value for the money spent.
Good condition but horrible pace
Course was in great condition, green were fast but true. No starter and definitely nobody concerned about pace of play. Left after 15 holes and 4.5 hours later.
It’s a Gem
Shortish course. Heavily played but in wonderful shape
Looks easy, til you get to the greens
Great short course, wide open with some tough greens. You show up thinking you’re gonna score low, then you leave humbled. I’ll be back.
Great staff & great greens!
I started golfing in July of this year, and rich maiden has been one of my favorite spots to go in the area. My buddy was 20 minutes late to the course due to traffic and the staff was extremely accommodating. For us beginners, rich maiden is a great course to work on our game without losing a couple sleeves. Will definitely be coming back
Bone dry, rock hard greens
Course needs some watering of greens. Felt as if we were playing on concrete greens.
