Golden Oaks Golf Club in Fleetwood, Pa. is considered one of Berks County's finest courses with a four-star rating from Golf Digest, which also named it as one of the top "Places to Play." It was voted the "Best Public Course" by readers of Berks County Magazine. Designed by local architect Jim Blaukovitch, the golf course has a classic design that appeals to players of all skill levels. The course has wide, inviting fairways but there are also some challenges provided by the rolling terrain, featuring elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Be prepared for a variety of uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies. Trees line Golden Oaks Golf Club's fairways and strategically placed bunkers protect the greensides. The golf course has some tricky holes but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

Among the nicer public courses in Berks
Paid a modest few extra dollars to extend a twilight nine holes into 'as many as can be played before dark'. In this case cart curfew was set to 8:30. That was quite reasonable versus the curfews recently given to me by other courses nearby. I don't think I'd still be able to see the ball ant 8:30, but the flexibility was appreciated.
Conditions are great on the fairways and greens, in particular. The green roll at a good speed and your putts will hold the lines you put them on.
I've generally found Golden Oaks to have better sand in their traps than other public course in Berks County, but the two traps I found myself in (on holes 12 and 13 were "Berks County Grade Hardpack")
Good Course layout.
The course layout is 5 star. Bunkers were well groomed but very little sand. A few tee boxes need help.

Course a plain Jane course
I'd would call ahead because they could be cutting the grass during play hours. For the first 7 holes they were cutting the grass. Greens were the fast almost unplayable. I'd pass on this course for the money. Dishonest golfers play this course steal your balls and clubs.
Great fairways
The course was beautiful, well taken care of. Even as a beginner I had tons of fun! Will definitely be back soon!
A Golden Gem
Beautiful course - This is a is a man’s course. Must be able to keep it straight- beautiful old pines line both sides of the course. The holes that have water force you to man up!
A recommend this course for those that can really play the game.

Bring all your clubs and thi king cap. This course is amazing and makes you play thinking man's golf ⛳️
Aerated greens not fully healed yet
Love the course and conditions were good for an August with so little rain, but the aerated greens were not fully healed yet so putting conditions were not great.
But always a fun course to play.
