Reading Country Club

About
Opened in 1923, Reading Country Club is one of the area's oldest golf courses. Located less than a half hour from King of Prussia, the course is easily accessible from anywhere in the greater Berks County area. Though it has a traditional layout that doesn't have the length that most modern courses do, that hasn't stopped it from being one of the most challenging public golf courses in Berks County. The rolling terrain provides a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. The course will test you with lightning fast, undulating greens that are protected by sand traps and there is punishing rough bordering the narrow, tree-lined fairways. Be prepared for uphill shots and blind approaches throughout the golf course. Reading Country Club's par 3s are especially notable for their difficulty.

Reading Country Club
Beautiful course!!!! You will enjoy the course layout and the challenge provided by this course in many ways. It’s very conveniently located right next to Route 422.
great shape for this time of year
You'd be hard pressed to find nicer greens that are in super shape right now as Reading has. This course has always been a great value and don't let the short listed yardage fool you into thinking that you'll be playing wedge into all the greens. There is not a ton of roll in the fairways right now making the course play longer. We had little problem finding balls on this sunny day which is rare at this time of year. Go play Reading now before winter comes. and thank me later
Slow today
Course should combine twosomes when there are foursomes in front. On one hole there was one foursome on the green and three twosomes waiting. Course in good shape
Great Course to Play
One of my favorite courses. Some challenging holes and always fantastic greens. Fairways were a little thin here and there which is not normally the case. I guess due to lots of play and idiots not replacing divots. Great value for the price.
Great Track
Forced to tee off on # 10, no notification until we got to course. Waited twenty minutes in line before able to start round. 3 1/2 hour back 7 holes, before we jumped to front nine. Walking twosome let us through. 1:10 minutes for front nine. Still were unable to finish last two holes on back nine (#17,#18) as theses holes were two or three groups on each hole.
This is a great, course, in good condition, but today’s management for all afternoon golfers, worst in two years.
Played the course since a child, four or more times a year. Never like this, even in fullest of tournaments......
Hope it is not a new trend, over booked, poorly managed......
The attendants, staff I had little contact with seemed fine
club house and entrance was beautiful
Course was in good shape fairways were a little patchy course plays a lot longer than you think a lot of up and down not much run beautiful old course.
slow greens
greens were slow due to being punched 2 weeks ago......course in Ok shape due to weather......18 holes and just could not adjust......I must be getting old.....other wise a great day on a nice course......if you play pick the right tees cause it plays much longer then the score card yardage
rough due to weargwe
it is always a joy to play this course cause you never know what you are going to get.......the greens were punched last week and some of the course was flooded but all in all a nice round........the course is short on the score card but plays alot longer and due to the weather even longer due to no roll.......it is a challenge when the course is perfect even more so when it is not........you need your best game every time you play but it is always fun
Fun
Nice conditions beautiful weather. Good to be a golfer
nice day nice course
nice day on a nice course...........many players but pace of play was 3 1/2 hours.........greens a little hairy so not alot of brakes....rough is thick as always so hit the fairways.........nice course for a fun round........do not let the yardage fool you.....pick the right tees....ego aside do not play the blues unless you are a single digit
