Berkleigh Golf Club

Have played here many times. It's a long and challenging but fair track. Greens were in excellent condition if just a little slow. Some tees could use refurbishing but didn't restrict play. Fairways and rough were a bit long but understandable due to drought conditions. All that being said this is one of the nicest classic courses in Berks County PA that once held many LPGA tournaments. I enjoy it every time.

Value is great for a weekend. Some fairway cutting could be better defined but overall very good conditions and we live the layout. Despite being full, the pace of play was very good. Will return

I really liked the course .Only problem is I played the senior tees at 5429 yards. And I played with senior ladies, One was in her 70's and the ladies yardage was 5202 yards only 200 yards shorter and one tee I believe was #16 was marked wrong by 100 yards. Course rating was 66.2/123 for seniors,71.6/128 for ladies. That is too much for a senior woman. Almost all day the womens and senior tees were together.They should shorten the womens tees.

Even in a cool misty kind of round the course did not disappoint. The greens were soft due to the rain but putted true. Fairways were good, rough was a bit dried out due to the really hot weather the previous weeks. Finished in under 4 which is fantastic.

Booked as a single and joined another single and a twosome for a nice four-ball on a nice day on a not-too-hot summer Monday morning .

The pace of play was just a touch over four hours. That's not bad, considering this course is full of well-guarded greens and has few if any short par threes (from the white tees).

The course was overall in better shape than most courses I've played nearby recently. The fairways were not 'carpet quality', but still better than most. The tees were in better shape than most. The greens had fewer un-repaired ball marks than most.

I'd read some recent reviews of this course which noted the greens as a bit slow and complained a bit about traffic noise. I really only noticed any slowness on uphill putts. I only recall noticing the traffic noise once or twice.

Drove 70 miles to play. Don’t mind doing that occasionally to get to play a new course and logo ball. 4.4 stars and solid reviews made it time to go check it out.

As a single, was sent out with 3 other first time players. We went out on time and finished in 4 hours flat. Nice par 3s. 3 par 5s on the back( that I double bogeyed all of them) .Greens were noticeably slow and consistent throughout the course. Generally in above average condition, just slow. Very open and playable. Rough was high just off the fairways .No cart service . Bar and food available at turn. Water jugs did have cold water. White tees at 6300+ yards. Not many rough spots to complain about. Nice elevation changes and sight lines of the area.

I can’t say I’ll never return. Would have to catch a deal. Definitely recommend everyone to play it once.

Course itself was in great shape, it was a very firm which was unusual considering how much rain we have had recently.

Greens were ungodly slow probably seven or eight on the step meter at most.

I hope they speed them up a little bit and make them comparable to other courses in the area.

Couse was in good shape, greens were vVERY slow, probably 7.5 or 8 on the stimp. Bunkers and fairways were very nice. Tees weer OK.

At the time of check-in we were advised that carts were rough areas and cart path only which was only one of the issues. Bunkers were mostly filled with water. Tee markers for the red and gold for the majority of the holes were placed together on the tees even though the scorecard had separate distances listed for each tee marker. Impossible to have separate distances if you have the same starting point. Two separate GPS would not provide correct yardage and hole identification as if the hole layout had been changed. Thunderstorms cut the round short after 14 holes. Played the front 9 without anyone ahead of us, but had 3 groups in front of us starting the 10th. How is this possible? The price paid should have been lower for conditions of play.

Love this course and I have yet to experience anything negative with personnel.

The starter was a wealth of information re: when to be there and when to expect league play.

I’ve played Berkleigh about a dozen times in 2025 and it is one of my favorites!

I will keep coming back to play here!!!

Overall 10/10 experience. Come here for a good challenging round if you’re playing serious, OR a fun round with your friends with a couple pints!
