Great condition and design
Greens were a bit of a challenge but that's a good thing rather than a flat boring putt.
Would definitely give a thumbs up.
Average public course
Pretty cool layout. It just needs some love. A whole new cart path would be highly suggested. Overall it was a good experience.
Solid course
Always greeted by pleasant staff, always helpful. Place of play is good. Carts always clean. Golf course is solid on difficulty.
A reasonable test of your game
I've played Royal Oaks 7 or 8 times since it was built. I recently moved into the area and it's now the closest course to my home. Greens roll true and are in good condition. Overall the course is well cared for and is an excellent value.
Deceptive and Tall Great Experience
Staff is always friendly and welcoming, they will help anyone feel comfortable and keep things moving. The course is a good challenge for players because it has nice deception and risk reward built in, with realistic challenges to let all skills be showcased. Fair enough for newer players to keep pace moving. They care about it and always are doing something positive to the course, its layout or maintenance.
Unforgiving
Bring lots of balls, so many areas all over the course of dense, thick grass and knee high weeds where balls simply disappear. Very challenging
Like course but don’t play when wet
Really enjoy this course but not maintained well. Understandably difficult with a lot of rain but a few fairways were so muddy they were unplayable. Greens were super slow & bumpy. Fairways were cut too short. They were shorter than greens.
Course conditions
Hats off to the ground crew getting the course back in playing shape after 3 days of rain .
Accuracy Counts
Beautiful setting with plenty of trouble. Solid distance and accuracy is rewarded.
