Greens in awesome shape and were aerated 3 weeks ago Photo submitted by vital23byrd on 05/07/2018
Great Wed out playing
Always love to play Flatbush. Even better through GolfNow for 13 bucks.
Greens where fast and perfect, fairways are in very good shape, rough was cut kind of low?? Not sure the reason? About 50% of the tee boxes need work, but not that of a big deal.
Add this to your list of courses to play!!!
Nice hidden gem
Flatbush GC is a very nice walking course with both flat open fairways and hilly doglegs. The course is fair, demands some forced carries, and has water in play on numerous holes. The greens are well maintained and roll well. This is a very enjoyable and friendly place to play. Definitely recommended for those who want to experience a quiet day out of the city.
Great Place for the money
We played over a holiday weekend and had to wait at every hole. I have played the course before and it can be a slow round. Great course for the money though. Often has Hot Deals on Golf Now that make it worth coming back every time.
pace of play issues
Tee time was delayed due to starter... Was told pace of play was two hours each side... Only one ranger on course and didn't speed up play.... 5 1/2 hour round with carts? Not a restort course.... Frequent problem with course... Keep trying to give course a chance to fix but will have to reconsider ever playing there again.
This is a real good course
Play at this course about one a month. Always have a good time playing. Greens are well maintained and course is also. Recent work on fairways on back 9 has come in good. Always have a pleasant staff when we play there.
Flatbush
The Day I played I used a cart for the18 Holes. There were a chance of showers the whole round and overcast. Many areas on the course was a little wet, However under these conditions it was still a delight to maneuver and manage the course. I thought overall the course was manageable and in decent condition. I would recommend this course to anyone for the price ones pay to play. Joe Carlson
Nice course for $12
Great Value with Golf Now. Front fairly open back is a little more shot making greens were not that fast.
great pace of play
When we started, we thought it would be slow, but played in under 4 hours. Greens were excellent, faster than I expected. I have played there in the past.
Great overall Value,
Always a pleasure to play Flatbush. Great conditions, although they were aerating the fairways, no problem.
Greens were in great shape. The amenities are very good, and the staff is always friendly.
This course has challenging par 4's
Flatbush GC is a very challenging little gem from the back tees. The course was in very good condition and especially the greens. A great value for $35 on Sunday morning, I will be back for sure!
value course
nice course, fairly difficult, well maintained, greens are true but on smaller side !
Not crowded
Tee time was 12:29. Got there about 40 minutes early and was able to tee off immediately. Course was not crowded and we played in just over 3 hrs. (2 in group) Recent rain helped green up the course. Though greens were recently aerated, they were filled in nicely and rolled reasonably true. Great pace of play.
The course
Challenging holes, you have to make your shots! Nice course in the open country of southern pa.
Looking Forward to Playing There Again!
Course was in great shape and nice to play. Some challenging features on some holes. Beautiful setting.
Nothing Special
Returned here for the first time in about 20 years. The course is pretty beat up and patchy throughout. It's also very firm due to the limited rain recently. It has some character at times through elevation changes, but it's a lot of up and back with slight doglegs and what water there is on the course is covered in muck. While the price I got on golf now was really low, between the conditions, slower pace of play, and lack of a beverage cart riding around even when busy I'd say go to the other courses nearby before coming here. I honestly can't think of too much positive to say about it.
Great course for any player
Great course that is open enough for not so straight hitters, but challenging enough that you have to think about many of your shots.
Nice Course
The course is very playable and in great shape. Lot of Rain made the greens a bit slow and hold the ball well. Two distinct nine the front being a little longer and a little more difficult. Great experiance paid $13 thru Golf Now at 12:29.
great greens, ok fairways
Got a golf now deal and played 18 for $10 with a cart at 12:50 on a monday, hard to say a bad word for the price but....
This was my first time playing this course and it was very enjoyable. The greens were smooth and great to putt on, especially if you are used to playing the baltimore munis. They were a little slow, but that was probably due to recent rain and the humidity more then anything else. Played with a friend as a twosome and finished in under 3 hrs. My only complaint about this course is the fairways. They obviously had not been mowed in a while and where long and clumpy. They actually were mowing while we were there and the fairways that where cut turned out to be full of holes, uneven, and rarely provided a decent lie. A better lie was actually usually found in the rough, which pretty much takes half of the challenge out of the game. I definitely enjoyed my round here, but will most likely explore many of the other courses this region has to offer before going back
Hard to beat for the money
The course is pretty well kept and wide open. Fast greens. People are nice. Hard to beat for the money. My twosome got stuck on the first 9 behind a bunch of clowns in a foursome. Slowed us down a good bit. But the back 9 was much better.
Best Kept Secret
Flatbush is a great course if you are looking for a moderate challenge at a great price. The course is usually in better than average shape and the holes are unique. Pace of play can be an issue some days, but overall, the course is very empty. Par 5s require some thought and the Par 3's have some elevation change which make them play more difficult then their yardage.
