Flatbush Golf Course

Great experience, second time here. Friend and I played 18 in just at 3 hours. Only “complaint” was the snack bar was closed at 1pm on a Monday. Really wanted to get some food but we had a couple snacks to hold us over will be back!

Cart paths were rough

Not easy to get to from major highways

Course was in great shape .. greens, fairways, tee boxes .. it’s not your old Flatbush that used to bake out this time of the year !

There has been little rain latel but coruse is being well maintained!

I typically play Flatbush a couple of times a month, and it is one of my favorite courses in its price range, with a couple of caveats. I play from the senior tees, so my comments reflect that. I like the course layout and the greens. Most tee boxes are in decent shape, but there are a couple senior tee boxes that are always in poor condition or have sloped/domed surfaces. Also, the women's tees are usually only 10 yards or so in front of the senior tees, making this an extremely long course for women, with multiple par 4 holes of 350 - 360 yards. My fellow seniors and I sometimes play from the women's tees just to give us a fighting chance at par. The pace of play is usually OK, but with no course rangers to keep and eye on things, it can vary quite a bit. During my latest round, we had followed a threesome for several holes, usually waiting a couple of minutes to tee off. But after finishing hole 13, we rounded a curve in the cart path to approach the tee boxes for hole 14. A twosome was waiting on a group in the fairway before they could tee off; the threesome was waiting behind them, and we were waiting behind that group. If we stayed there, we would have waited at least 15 minutes to tee off, so we returned to the front nine, which appeared to be devoid of golfers, and played the last five holes there.

There hasn't been much rain recently but the course was in good playing condition considering.

Great course and excellent condition. Very challenging on some holes, but always fun.

Course was in decent shape, fairways need to be mowed but it didn’t effect play. Traps are full of fluffy clean sand but are so fluffy that your wedge just buries in instead of splashing under and throwing the ball out..

Great hotdog and excellent bar service.

Overall great day out and will definitely be back.

Greens are in beautiful condition.

Only bad thing is that cart paths needs repaving.

We like coming back here year after year to play with a few friends. We all like to play here and the course is in a great shape and pace of play was good as well. We finished the round just under 3 1/2hrs. We are already talking about coming back soon before the fall.

I'm probably shooting myself in the foot for giving such a high review but it deserves it. I think once Golfers find out that this course is going to remain open for 18 holes instead of half of it being sold off for a sports complex, they will flock there to play a round.

I had the opportunity to meet the owner, Kevin and he turned out to be a great guy who went out and dried off our golf cart seats and put down towels for us to be able to finish the round in the rain. Not many owners would do that. Thank you , Kevin
