Golfer Reviews
It’s a gem
I hesitate to say how great the course is because I don’t want it to become overcrowded. 😊 The entire course conditions were above average. Many holes are challenging. The Pocono woods are unforgiving. Bring an extra sleeve or two.
I highly recommend the facility. I can’t wait to bring friends and family to play.
Good times!
The course is challenging, fair and fun. Staff is friendly and efficient. I drive 50 minutes to play here and it is well worth it.
Wild layout
For the money best deal out there. However the course has an insane layout and you have to drive through neighborhoods to almost every hole. It’s a fun track if you’re just trying to get out there and not take the game too seriously.
Value
Was so inexpensive to play. Played with my son who is a brand new golfer. We played in a blistering 2 hours and 41 minutes pace. Do not expect that pace during the summer. Was one of my favorite rounds of my life!! Vistas at this course are incredible
A few bizarre holes
There are few holes on this course that seem unrelated to real golf (e.g., #s 5 & 17). The bigger problem though is the occasional SLOW play. Today I had three open holes in front of me when I teed of in the afternoon. Well, by hole 6 I caught the parade of old men who 1) play SO slow, and 2) make NO effort to at least move their bodies quickly. Some days are fine here, but I regularly have this problem. I quit after nine holes. Would have NEVER finished before dark. It's usually NOT crowded, it's just that this course attracts old couples and the generally discourtious type of golfer.
You have to drive well
At times this round felt more like a real estate tour than a round of golf. Miles and miles of cart driving. That added up to a round over 5.5 hours. Even though we had excellent fall weather and CCP is in a beautiful place in the world, it felt like a long round. The Staff were super friendly and accommodating. There was a frost delay that morning but slotted me in as soon as they could. The course is a nice mix of short and long holes. IMHO, the par 3s is where the challenge is at CCP. Overall, the conditions were very good. The greens rolled slow and not because there is a lot of slope on them. This is a tree lined course and you can't spray it without penalty. CCP is a short, sporty course that you should play at least once.
