Slow play
There was a group of 4 men drinking and playing very slow on the back 9. A couple teams quit on the last 3 holes because they had play so backed up. A ranger should occasionally be riding around when they are crowded to keep players moving.
Friendly staff and a good deal on a hotdog and beer on the turn.
Great course, even greater staff!
We had a great time playing Whispering Pines today, starting with the friendliest staff I have ever met at a golf course. Super helpful and kind.
Challenging Course - Good value
It was Hot and in the Dead of summer so the fairways and rough were a bit burnt out. But Greens were soft and well watered. They ran pretty slow, likely to try to keep them from burning out in the heat. Every hole involves a hill of some sort and the greens are challenging. Fun course to play, A lot of risk/reward opportunities.
Good course, bank for buck
Good course, good layout, greens are challenging (fast and breaks a lot), pace of play is decent. $35-$40 bucks on a weekend is pretty darn good if ya ask me.
