Slower pace than what I am used to there.
Weather was great, but they were crowded, which led to slow play. It ended up being close to a 5 hour round, which is not what I am accustomed to at Armitage.
Beautiful course
Beautiful course. Had a lot of fun. However Friday was packed. I was told they normally space 4 somes about 12 minutes apart and that Friday they were 6 minutes apart. This lead up to a very long wait at almost every single tee box, kind of getting out of rhythm. Aside from that. On a slow day I’m sure it is fantastic. Just was a bit overbooked in my opinion the day I played.
Nice course, rude staff
Staff was beyond rude and piled tee times around a local league which clogged the course up. Members of the league were annoyed by us being there at that time. And this was at 2pm on a Thursday!
Fun time
Well what could I say the weather was great the course was great had a nice day of golf. Very good course well maintained give it a try.
Hot Weather, excellent conditions
Played mid-day in the 90 + temperatures. Not crowded, so we were able to play quickly. Great not being held up in the heat. We enjoyed the round, as the conditions were very good. I will gladly play there again.
Excellent conditions
Tees, fairways and greens in first class condition. Roughs were very challenging as expected. P
Nice course, lousy pace of play
Not sure why but things really slowed way down on the back nine. We'd get to the next tee box and the foursome in front of us had to wait to tee off. By 14 we, had 3 foursome ahead of us waiting to tee off. On a hot day, this just makes things miserable. Course was in great shape, fun top play, and the pro shop staff and starter were very pleasant. Maybe best to play this course on a weekday if this is what weekends are like.
My Favorite
Armitage is always a good experience and I’m happy to call this my home course. Staff is always friendly, course is always well taken care of. They do a good job making sure pace of play is moving along. Great restaurant as well. Considering the space of land this course resides on, it’s fantastic value for what you pay.
Course in great shape!
This course gets a lot of play but is in great shape. It’s a well oiled machine.
Fun and Challenging
This course is short (especially if you hit it 250+), but it was fun sending it into tight spots. Course was in great shape and pace of play was good, especially considering it was a holiday. 17 is a real stand out, beautiful long par 3.
