Sportsman's Golf Course

Golfed here over a year ago and the fairways were at least 5 inches deep. Swear I wouldn't come back but was suppose to golf at Sunset but they overbooked so the 4 of us scrambled to fine another tee time ASAP. Sportsman was very accommodating and pleasant when we called and showed up rushing to make our tee time. Appreciated their understanding and we had a wonderful day of golf. The fairway's were in great shape, the tee boxes and greens were really nice too. I saw people commenting that things were not great in August, well I'm here to tell you that maybe they listen or something, because the course was really nice. Is this a country club course? No, but you aren't paying for a country club, you're paying for 4 hours of sunshine and golf. We will be back.

The One and ONLY good thing about this place is the nice gentleman working the desk. After that it all falls apart. First cart we where given after loading up and getting ready to go start cart wouldn't move. Worker tried still didn't work so gave us new cart which we then had to unload and load. Well new cart lets us sit multiple times on course. Total time wasted probably 45 waiting for cart to decide to move during round. Tee boxes, fairways and ruffs are a complete disaster. This course isn't worth more than $15(with cart) a person max. I would rather be hit in the head with a golf ball 18 times then play another 18 holes at this place. We play a lot of golf and by far the worst course we have ever been too. Does not matter the response given to this review everything I am telling you his true and advise you stay far away from this place. You could have more enjoyment flicking yourself in the eyeball repeatedly then ever playing here

To make it easier to maintain they allowed weeds to grow in the traps. They only have a mark on the cart path at 200 150 and 100. Good luck for the distances. The greens look like no one ever fixes a divot. This place put the red neck in golf and it wasn’t free.

Said I would never go back the last time and was quickly reminded why I said that when I tried it again 2 years later

IDK what’s going on there other than there’s no funds available and that they don’t want the greens to burn out. No sand in the bunkers and green are running like at 5..

Hidden gem!! Don’t let the slow greens keep you from playing here. So much fun:)

I’m just gonna assume that those greens were slower than ever due to the fact that they’ve been watering. I am so used to playing those greens late in the afternoon when they’re fast.

Booked a tee time yesterday, arrived and met two of the other playing partners, no problem. Final.playing partner shows up with his significant other and 4yr old, to " enjoy a nice day outside". He was supposed to be my riding partner, but with the cart full chose to walk.

Not only was he late for the round, attempted to putt before being reminded we are all now late, plus group waiting for us to tee off.

Set the tone for the day. If you want to spend the day outside with your family, plenty of options other then ruining the round for the others that came to golf. Or go later, when you have the time and space to let your kid play in the Green side bunkers. Parents literally let this kid play on the previous holes green with people hitting into it.

I would expect the course, as busy as they were to not allow it, but they did. So with this decision I will most likely not return. Too many other courses in the area that don't allow this nonsense.

Absolute bang for your buck, good course. Staff is extremely friendly, very customer service oriented, and always has a smile. An employee by the name of Trent helped guide me through some of the holes and is phenomenal!

If this place is your only option, go bowling instead. Horrible Staff and a very unkept golf course. Whoever is currently running this place has taken a GEM and destroyed it.

Played Sunday morning after it rained for two days plus the first hour of our round. Course played exceptionally well given the conditions, not much puddling except in areas you wouldn’t expect otherwise. Ball was moving well. Didn’t have much company on the course until midday which was really nice to keep a decent pace going. My 2nd time playing here and I will definitely return again.

One single lady ruined the day yelling at almost every hole at anyone or anything she can see. The grounds are bad at best. Greens are slow and filled with poop. Bunkers are just grass with some sand around the edges. Not worth anything over 15 bucks. Just go somewhere else. There will be tee times available I’m sure but do yourself a favor and don’t book.

Layout was nice. Mature course tucked up to a mountain ridge. Greens were very good. Small targets but rolled true. I live about an hour away with many many courses to choose from and I'll be back.
