Brought a friend
We got a great rate. Course was in very good shape. I did notice evidence of aeration on some of the greens. Started at 2:30 (we let a couple of singles through) and it was getting dark as we finished but we had a great time . We played from the gold tees which were level and well maintained unlike a number of golf now courses. Would recommend!!
Hardest review to write
I played a practice round here 5 days before a high school tournament. LOVED IT !
Then I showed up for the tournament. The pin locations for this were the worst spots I have ever seen in my life. Unfair on so many levels and were very poorly evaluated for a tournament. The course conditions were an 11/10 and as always friendly people. But man , those pin locations were ridiculous
Great course. Again
Very nice course. No hassle for the Golf Now VIP reservation. Def going again.
AWESUM!!!!!!
NICE day weather was great play was moving well course layout is excellent
Nice course good value. Hot dogs were raw but I didn't go for the food.
enjoyed the round
well maintained, greens were fine not slow not fast, varied layout, will be back
Great course
Nice course each hole is different, not back and forth like others. Very unique.
Looks like it would be a great place to hang out after you're done two or three beautiful holes other than that I thought it was pretty mediocre
Great course
We enjoyed playing at Crossgates. It's friendly & challenging at the same time. Would play there again.
Country Club conditions at a muni price.
I've played Crossgates many times in year past, but if today's experience is representative of how things are there, I might not go anywhere else.
PRO SHOP: despite the plethora of horror tales I'd read about other courses when dealing with GolfNow. com, the guys couldn't have been friendlier OR more accommodating. I was 30 minutes early for my tee time and there was NO one on the 1st tee box or the 1st two holes. Instead of making me wait for the other guys at my time slot they got me out right away.
PACE OF PLAY: I finished in 2 1/2 hours playing 2 balls on my own each hole. Most of the times I've played at Crossgates the pace of play is quick.
COURSE CONDITIONS: The changes they've made over the years have only made the course better. Hole # 3 and #14 are simply better holes now. The greens were a tad slow by Crossgates standard-----------yet they were still quick.
Aesthetically speaking this is still one of the prettiest-----yet challenging short courses in the area.
AMMENITIES: the water stations were all stocked with cold water--------very necessary on a day like today. The ball washers all had fluid.
Crossgates Golf Course
I have played this course many times and have enjoyed each round. The course has various elevations through out your round with some tight fairways. Your game will be challenged throughout the course. The only bad thing is if you hit your ball close to some of the residences around the course you may get an earful about hitting close to their home. I wonder why you would buy a home around a golf course if you are going to act like that???
