Grand View Golf Club

About
Grand View Golf Club in North Braddock is one of the area's most challenging layouts. The course's 160 acres were carefully carved from a woodland hilltop. From its perch, the golf course overlooks the Mon Valley with views stretching to the Edgar Thompson facility, Western Pennsylvania's first and last major steel mill. The distinctive layout will test your creative shot-making skills. It may seem relatively short at 6,111 yards from the back tees but it feels much longer thanks to the rolling fairways and undulating greens. The tight fairways are lined with cliffs, brush, and trees, leaving little room for error. You should also be prepared for forced carries and tricky doglegs. Grand View Golf Club can be punishing for the low handicapper, but high handicappers will find this course to be a unique test of their skills.

Best Fall Ball Course
The weather started out a little chilly, but we layered up, I went with a long sleeve underneath a sherpa quarter zip and by hole 3, the quarter zip was off. This was my second time playing there, and the course was in AMAZING condition, there were hardly any leaves even in the rough so I definitely commend the grounds crew. Grandview is always hard, expect to lose a good number of balls, but it's a challenge and if you can play Grandview, you can play anywhere in my opinion. I am not a great golfer, I've only played on a course about 15ish times, but I have full intentions on making Grandview my "home course." The price is affordable, though I do recommend going at off peak times, as the weekends can be a little more though not unbearable. All in all, a fantastic experience, and I cannot wait for the first chance to get back out there. Grandview is my favorite course in Pittsburgh
Needs Improvement
If never having an even lie and loving blind shots all day long is your cup of tea,, then play here! Tee boxes were in terrible shape...some were nothing but dirt,, others looked like they hadn't been mowed in weeks. Greens were fair. Every hole is sloping and haa giant hills. Very strange and unpleasant course layout. If you can find a hot deal for less than $25, for a last resort it isn't the worst decision you will make in life...but you must be forewarned that this course is no country club and clearly is not well maintained these days.
Challenging fun course
We were surprized with every hole. Wonderful views, interesting hole layouts. Amazed they were successful building a course on a mountain.
Robert and Rich
Tee boxes awful, most fairways ok. Greens very well kept . If you choose to play, suggest you play back 9 twice, fairways much better kept and more forgiving.
Don’t waste your time
Took an hour to play 3 holes as a single at 5pm. Stopped after 5 holes or else it would’ve taken 3 hours to play 9. Ridiculous. Course is in terrible shape except the greens are okay. Wouldn’t pay to play this course.
Short and Challenging
You can leave your driver in the bag. There are many short but challenging par 4’s that require accurate tee shots. The fairways were burnt out but the greens were very nice. They were very funny about CART PATH ONLY, I enjoy walking, but if you struggle to walk, this course is not for you. This also has nice scenic views of Pittsburgh and the Monongahela Valley.
Decent course for your buck
Pretty decent course, fairways could’ve used a little watering, but the view over Pittsburgh was awesome being from out of state. Would definitely play again if I come back.
