Nice track for a good price
Tangle wood is a good value. The grounds crew was working hard and it shows. Everything was pretty well maintained and only a few areas were lacking. The layout is simple, but kept my interest. Some of the holes on the back nine were a little gimmicky. I usually hate uphill par 3s, but the two on the back were actually good fun. The streams running through the fairways segment your shots so you have to plan your tee ball. Overall a nice time.
Always worth the trip.
It’s an hour drive for me but I make the trip 4-5 a season because tangelwood is ALWAYS worth it!
70 degree day in November brought out a lot of players. The course was packed. Came in just under 5 hours with a late morning tee time.
Consistent Conditions are the reason I make the trip. Always above average. Greens were fast. I met a dude in the clubhouse from Florida. he asked about the driving range ( that is about a mile down the street from the course) and the course. Told him to expect pretty much what the reviews say. Tangelwood is a true “ Hidden gem “
Never Disappointed
This place never disappoints me. Started at 8:20am and was done by 11:15am. Greens had been areated but they still rolled good enough to play.
Nice course
Website said greens were aerated. What it didn't say was that the back nine was closed for aerating and you had to play the front nine twice. Also the sanding of the aerated front was limited, resulting in lots of bumps. .
Such a well kept course! Worth your money!
Nothing to say other than, I will keep coming back. This is truly a very well kept, beautiful course!
Perfect greens and no loosing balls
Very nice condition of golf course greens in perfect condition. Very nice compact layout.
Always a pleasure
2nd time playing the course this year. Challenging, but fun. Very few spots needing work. Overall has been well maintained. Highly recommended
Nice course for a nice day
Like a lot of courses with tree-lined fairway, it probably seemed like a good idea at the time. But now the trees are too much in the way and not just on errant shots, although with parallel fairways groups are constantly dodging the trees and waywards shots. My cart got hit by balls TWICE!!
Apart from that, this course is in fine shape and it an EXCELLENT value. Greens were smooth and are larger than average. As long as you hit it straight it's quite playable. with the right amount of challenge. But they should cut down the large trees at the corner of doglegs, and large trees so close to tee boxes that they are a distraction or force you to alter your shot.
My only complaint about the layout, besides parallel fairways is the tilted fairways on nearly every hole, often to the less favorable side for the approach shots.
Like a lot of courses, they take good care of greens but the aprons need work. On the plus side, they have the rough at the right length and its all grass. You can play shots from it without being Superman and find yohu ball without having to seach on your hands and knees.
Worth the trip and fun to play!
Great course!
Great challenging course, will be returning for sure!
Nice people and nice course!
Everyone I interacted with (with all Covid safety of course) was very helpful and kind. Felt like the Weekday 11am dealtime made this a steal. The initial holes were really beautiful. Some blind shots and radical uphill and downhills later were difficult. First time here so Will play it better next time. Thanks!
