About
Northampton Valley Country Club, proudly owned by Northampton Township, the golf course first opened in 1963. It is well known among locals as one of the Greater Philadelphia area's best courses. The layout has a classic design with tree-lined fairways and gently sloped greens. Several strategically placed bunkers lurk along the greens and there are a few water hazards that come into play as well. The par-70 golf course is a manageable 6,400 yards from the back tees. It's a traditional design that is player friendly enough for all skill levels but there are risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to low handicappers. In addition to the golf course, Northampton Valley has a driving range with new range balls which is open to the public and a 10,000 sq. ft. practice green with a pristine sand trap for patrons to work on their short game.

No rangers in the course and took 4 1/2 hrs to play. Course in decent shape after aerating fairways
Course construction
Golfers should have been informed of a few temporary tees and shortened holes due to construction. Much applause for course maintenance though
Good Day
Started a little chilly but warmed up nicely. Very quick round at 3 hours. Course is in very good shape.
A little too expensive given the course is under maintenance
The holes where maintenance is complete are great. Downside is there are still quite a few holes that are still being worked on which makes the full weekend price a bit steep
Challenging Course
Course was in generally good condition but greens had been aerated recently and although very fast, were still somewhat bumpy. Also, sand traps were too hard and needed raking. The layout is very challenging and requires good tee shots and approach irons. The par 3’s are all long and require precise hits with long irons and hybrids.
Nice layout
Course was in great shape, especially for this time of the year, pace was good and staff always friendly. Mike at the pro shop always a Gentleman
Solid
Local course that I’ve played countless times. With a solid layout and a mix of challenging and average holes, Northampton sets up well for a straight hitter. A few areas that need attention but are clearly being worked on: tee boxes, a few greens, and some bunkers missing real sand. Overall, the course is playing nicely for March and should get better as the spring and summer go on.
Almost constant wind
A lot windier than I would prefer but not a bad day.
